Core Curriculum Implementation
• Hart-Beat U Certification • Software Coding, compression, mobile and Data analysis
Hardware Distribution
• Students will need to learn (1) how to use the devices for editing (2) how to navigate the digital world safety and responsibly. • Highly visible initiative.
Changing Students
• Students are active learners and are demanding more hands on/interactive experiences with immediate feedback.
Underused KLCS Capacity
• Channel could be a focal point to improve communication between constituents and stake holders about future tactics and techniques to compete for opportunities on the horizon, 2020.
Benefits of Hart-Beat Univ. TV Pilot & subsequent programs can address issues and concerns before and after launch.
Content creation and on-line components will encourage the use of technology in ways that may be new to some students.
Hands-on nature is consistent with the changing nature of students. This will give them relevant experience through the development, production and distribution phases while improving their peer-to-peer interactions.
Programming will be original content and will be shown on branded OTT which will increase channel awareness among students, parents and stakeholders

To complete this pilot, we are asking for the following: Monthly use of Hart-Beat Digital Television/Rehearsal/Broadcast Production Distribution Center Engineered by Intel (25) Students Talent On-Air/PA /Gaffers/Grips (3) Instructors (Curriculum, Administration, Logistics)

TV Set Design / Production Curriculum Created By Dennis Brown http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0113398/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1 Prepare as detailed as possible, a written presentation of the the Class to include: topics to be presented in chronological order length of each topic (and script or outline for each) proposed presenters of each topic Decide on the presentation and format to include: Date of Class style of show - host, presenters sit/stand,/walk, audience participation, etc. the set - podium, desk, chairs, couches, bleachers, backings, props, etc. the number of presenters and invitees to determine the size of the stage that is needed desire for shooting of behind the scenes and/or interviews. Prepare the production of the program by the students and determine such things as: Schedule length and dates of prep, rehearsal, shoot and post production dates each of the following steps must be completed number and type of cameras to be used control room requirements technical requirements for sound, electric and grip makeup, hair and wardrobe requirements office and additional space requirements staffing requirements and determination of personnel post production requirements - editing equipment, sound including music, graphics including titles, final delivery elements Budget Mock rehearsal at students’ school Rehearsal on set first without equipment and then with equipment shoot. Post production - this could very well be a somewhat lengthy step because of the volume of material that will be shot, depending on the determination of the details of the Master Class these steps could be modified.

Welcome- Rory Pullens, LAUSD Introduction of Special Guest-MC. ?
Dakar Interactive in coordination with LAUSD will conduct the first in a series of STEAM Events. The event will discuss the role schools have in teaching students digital literacy, etiquette, and learning. The event will also showcase LAUSD Arts capability to share its digital media curriculum and lesson plan developed by Dakar Foundation to other high classrooms around the world The event will showcase the capability of students to use digital media for social good and education. The experience will utilize Livestream, Integra, Face book, twitter, and Google Hangout Live Broadcast to share and personalize student’s exposure to best practices of digital citizenship while self-publishing and distributing their stories.
