With CFDA in-house design and merchandising talent, sourcing, and production capabilities, AHQ is a

Led by industry veteran Abe Chehebar, the company is headquartered in Midtown Manhattan with offices and state-of-the-art showrooms that highlight the individual aesthetic and DNA of each brand.

THE CEO: ABE CHEHEBAR Abe Chehebar has been at the forefront of major accessory ventures for over thirty years. His passion for handbags started early; in his youth Abe spent summers interning at his father’s handbag and accessories shop. With his keen understanding of consumer tastes and needs, Abe founded Accessory Network Group in 1984, where he served as Chairman and CEO for 27 years. ANG set itself apart as being one of the pioneer companies to introduce branded handbags into the mass and mid tier markets; quickly becoming an industry leader in manufacture, design, and marketing of premier brand name and private label handbags, luggage, small leather goods, accessories and cold weather apparel. ANG’s portfolio included licenses for brands such as Calvin Klein, Tahari, Karl Lagerfeld, Bebe, and Nicole Miller, and owned brands such as Kooba, Ghurka, Yak Pak, and Lesportsac. In 2010, ANG solds its assets to Mystic Apparel. Today, Abe is Founder and CEO of AHQ- Accessory Headquarters. The company was created in 2011 with a concentration on the designer handbag business. Premier brands within the AHQ portfolio include Catherine Malandrino, Christian Lacroix, Hayden Harnett, Versace 19.69, and Go! Sac. In addition, the company specializes in private label accessories for major retailers. In a short time, AHQ has become a top performing resource in the handbag category.

AHQ is currently expanding into the footwear market with the formation of Footwear Headquarters (FHQ). Catherine Malandrino revealed her first namesake collection in New York in 1998. She was an instantaneous success; editors and retailers immediately recognized her talent, profiling her in Vogue and presenting her collection in the windows of Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus. That same year, the first Catherine Malandrino boutique was born in the heart of Soho. Today there are eleven free standing stores and five shop-in-shops worldwide. Pet Sac is the world’s first ever plush doll with a full size “Backpack Inside”. Each PetSac will have its own unique identity and story on the website allowing the end user to follow their pets online. This new patent pending plush doll will be a must have for all kids; their furry friend will be both cuddled and loved and fully functional! Backpacks are made of durable ripstop nylon to withstand the usual wear and tear. The Petsac Original Collection consists of 9 core animals and 6 custom backpack prints. New Petsac prints and animals will be added each season. In the coming months, the Petsac brand will expand to include tech accessories such as tablet holders, cell phone cases and plush headphones; capturing the teen/ tween market as well. PetSac will be rolled out in early 2015.
