Our booth was in partnership with the VIEW. We were there to answer questions about Edison and their programs. A Southern California Gas Co. (seasoned professional Tom Smart) was there to answer questions for residents, and PG&E didn't have a representative, but we had handout material from them. The day was rather slow due to the rain. We still had a good amount of people who had many questions about the SmartConnect meter, such as how to read it, and many did not know about My Account or the programs available to them that will help them manage their electric bills. Many were under the misconception that their rates were lower in the night and didn't understand their bill. Some had brought their bill and we went over charges and showed them with the iPad what they could do with My Account, and to see the last 24 hours of their usage. COMMENTS:

This was a very busy day with high attendance and a steady flow of people with varied problems and questions. Some were not happy with SmartConnect, but were soon turned to positive when they learned of the My Account programs. One person came in and said their electric bill was $108 last January, and this January it is $220. Nothing has changed except the installation of the new SmartConnect meter. We entered their information into the iPad lead generation tool so that they will be contacted by SCE about their issue. They were very grateful to be able to talk with us and to get this resolved. Many CARE and My Account apps were given out, but people did not want to take the time to fill them out onsite. COMMENTS:

Today was a little lighter, but still a good flow of people. It was good to have the Gas Company rep at the booth with us because many times a customer would have questions for both utilities, especially in regards to CARE and EUCA, and the benefits of electric heat vs. gas. Some people in this area cannot get natural gas, but can get propane, which is more expensive than the natural piped in gas. Once again, we had a customer that had their bill double after the SmartConnect meter installation. We inputted their info and hopefully someone will contact them soon. A lot of people were curious about the LED bulbs and the benefits as opposed to CFLs. COMMENTS:
