San Joaquin Valley Partnership Program August 2015 Focus: San Joaquin Valley kWh and peak kW reductions This Month’s Major Accomplishments: • There was no VIEW Partnership meeting this month. • Implementing Partner participated in Local Government Partnerships Peer to Peer conference calls to discuss billing issues, data procurement, and other topics. • Implementing Partner participated in Rural Hard to Reach (RHTR) conference calls with working groups for EM&V and Local Government Partnerships. • Implementing partner met with Matt Coldwell from the CEC to discuss participation in the CEC SCE San Joaquin Valley Distributed Energy Resource Pilot Study. • SJVCEO Executive Director Courtney Kalashian met with Brian Thoburn and Cal Rossi to discuss outreach to VIEW cities including Hanford, Woodlake, Visalia, Tulare, and Porterville. • Implementing Partner met with Tulare County Supervisors Vander Poel and Worthely to discuss upcoming community outreach events. • SJVCEO Executive Director Courtney Kalashian participated in planning meetings for the October 8th Central California LGP Workshop. • SJVCEO Program Administrator Sarah Farell completed SCE benchmarking for the County of Kings and the Cities of Lindsay and Woodlake. • SJVCEO Program Administrator Samantha Dodero completed Kill-‐A-‐Watt Krackdown outreach with the City of Hanford. • SJVCEO Program Administrator Samantha Dodero completed Mobile Home DI outreach with VIEW Jurisdictions. • Implementing Partner participated in the “Benchmarking is Business” training in San Francisco. Key Issues or Emerging Concerns: • Implementing partner met with Peter Tanios, Alex Estrada, Jeff Lawler, and Becky Estrella from SCG to discuss SCG benchmarking for VIEW, challenges SJVCEO has faced and how to move forward. SCG noted that the ESPM bug had been fixed and SJVCEO should not face benchmarking issues from here on out. This will be tested with Kings County SCG accounts. Upcoming Milestones • The next meeting will be held on September 17th at Tulare County’s RMA Plaza in Visalia. • There will be community outreach events in October for the County of Tulare and the Cities of Farmersville and Home Garden.
