01 Muthoot Pappachan Centre for Excellence in Sports (MPCES) E ATOR

IMB DS CO

MPCES is a mixed-use building with a FIFA certified full size football field. It is the homeground for Kerala Blasters, an ISL team owned by Muthoot group.

Individual Residences

MPCES can hosts matches, for which it has a seater capacity of 3000 people on its bleachers along with classrooms for exceptional young footballers who get free training and education.The building has seperate entries for admin, the public and services. It has a dormitory, an residential unit for the director along with a seperate VIP viewing deck in the terrace, food facilities and a fully equipped performance gym for the players. The proposed building is in Phase 1. Phase 2 and 3 involves construction of dedicated hostel blocks, aquatics centre and basketball court with gallery.

Kumarans Nursery

Kumarans Nursery ery block within

a new nurDoddakallasandra campus.

This building caters kindergarten students (LKG,UKG) in CBSE curriculum. The site presents a challenge, a cemetery near the site which is overlooked by the building, specifically in the upper floors.

Steel workshops

The G+3 building has 4 classrooms or environments in a single floor which caters to their academic and their extra-curricular classes. The building also boasts a soft gym for indoor play in the third floor. This is one of the two new blocks to be constructed.

Good Shepherds International School (GSIS), Ooty

GSIS is a legacy boarding school functioning in ooty for more than 30 years. As some of their buildings had become old and needed renovation. We have reworked the interiors of buildings like Boys dorm, girls dorm, old dining block, new dining block and co-curricular block along with increasing the efficiency of wayfinding within the site by improving signages and other site detailing. The boys dorms and girls dorms were refurbished with new colourful furniture and renovated common areas. Buildings which lacked enough lighting were improved spatially. Design work is ongoing for other spaces like entrance portal, academic block , staff quarters, library among others.

We had reworked the layout, pushed the tables to the windows and made them bigger, added lighting to improve lighting in the space and revamped the colours with brighter colours to liven up the space. We also added acoustic panels to dampen the reverberation in the hall along with fabric graphics put up on the wall. The design is complete and now functional.

Starting from this one, I’ll review non-fiction books as I read, spli ing the review chapter by chapter to get a detailed analysis. Die with zero is a book that ignited my interest in picking a book again. Ge ing all you can from your money, a good catchphrase, worked well for me.

Bill Perkins, the author is a hedge fund manager who started off at wall street with a meagre paying job. He cites the story of the ant and grasshopper, the ant collecting rice and the grasshopper Sapienists frolicking around. He says the ant survives, but did it live? It’s stuck in the rut of collecting grains for the future and connecting it to humans who save money for the future. Being cautious with wording, he wants not to splurge all the money, but to get the best experiences that the money we make can buy. He shows examples of both well off people in their sixties worrying to spend a dime and the young’uns rushing to collect coins.
