FEEDBACK FROM GPF MEMBERS GPF Induction day was a very good, first project that we did together. Since we all never do any induction day before, I think we all did our best for this. Although, there were some problems such as we had to hurry in every task, our audiences came less than we expected (200 Registered Online while only 150 came). Most of sessions are unprepared because it was in such a rush. The speakers weren’t been informed well until the Induction day. Moreover, the light system was a bit distractive, as we didn’t control it well. We missed the Khmer anthem at the beginning, which was quite a bad mistake. In short, we think that our induction day went really well and we all did our best. We were wrong of being really rush in making the Induction Day happened in just 3 days. However, we are really happy that most of participants really love and happy that they get the chance to join the Induction day. After the Induction day, they also claim that they are having that same vision as us. Most participants are really inspired by Mr. Kim and Ms. Sok You Ly and Ms. Lymei Sun. They became even more enthusiastic about making changes and want to contribute something back to humanity. To be honest, it’s quite hard for people to understand easily about the GPF vision “One family Under God”, but once we explain them, they really love the vision. They really want to involve with GPF, since GPF focuses on Moral and Innovative Leadership, Moral and Innovative Ideas, youths, especially reach-out for volunteerism. We are so proud of each other. We all are very responsible and eager to do something for our society, community and in one word, humanity. During this Induction Day, we get to know more about each other. We care even more about each other and realize that no matter what happen, we are one family under god. The best part is that we are really glad to have President Kim and Ms. Yejin’s visit because we get to learn more through their advice, guidance, and their motivation for us. We are really inspired because of them and many others people such as Ms. Yor Ching, Ms. Shintya, Mr. Nicholas, Mr. James, as well as Hanna, Pandu, many more. Thank to them for always giving us advice and guidance when we struggle. We will follow our heart and contribute as much as possible to humanity.
17
FEEDBACK FROM AUDIENCES After observing the audiences’ evaluations, they would like to learn more about GPF Inspired Youth and their activity. Moreover, they would like to have a deeper understanding of what their mission is, and what they stand for. Truthfully, the audiences were quite shocked by GPF vision at first but after they further explained the word GOD in "One family under God" means creator, we became captivated, and could not wait to be a part of GPF programs especially after Ms. Yejin Bae’s presentation. Lastly, they sincerely hope GPF will have an official chapter in Cambodia soon for they anxiously want to join all GPF activity to promote peace within our society. Also they were so inspired and want to join programs like AYE and IMYA as well.
18
REFLECTION ON GPF INDUCTION DAY
As can be seen from the evaluation paper, the hall and seats were convenient for audience and the sound of the speakers were all clear enough to be heard. However, some of our GPF members missed to control the light properly due to our first experience in conducting the big event like that. Before the induction day many Cambodian youths join GPF without the clear goal they just want to join it because their friends join it. However, after listen to the presentation by Mr. Jinsoo Kim, the Regional President of GPF International Asia-‐ Pacific, and Ms. Yejin Bae, the Regional Project Youth Coordinator of GPF Asia-‐ Pacific, many of them know the reason of their participation during this Induction Day. Mr. Kim’s speech inspired most of Cambodian Youths. Immediately after the speech of Ms. Sun, which claim the reason of why we want to have Official GPF Chapter here, in Cambodia; most of them are very interested in being a part of GPF activity. Without the present of Mr. Jinsoo Kim and Ms. Yejin Bae, this event wouldn’t receive such a great outcome. Both of them spent hour traveling from different part of the world to support Cambodian Youths’ enthusiasm. We, GPF Inspired Youth, are really proud of having everyone out there who are very supportive and motivated. Besides Mr. President and Ms. Yejin Bae, we also cannot forget the commitment of other speakers such as Mr. Ung Visoth Panha, the speaker who share his own experiences as well as the importance of volunteerism to all youths that appear in induction day; Ms. Sok You Ly who share her experience with GPFM Program, which called the Asian Youth Exchange, in KL, Malaysia; Ms. Lymei Sun who give a speech on the information and general background of GPF and GPF Inspired Youth Cambodia. After the induction, most audience can get the sense of volunteerism and understand more about GPF. Most people seem to be interested in our upcoming project ‘25000 and environment’ because it provides benefits to both the environment and volunteers who is going to participate on that day.
19
WHAT CHANGED AFTER GPF INDUCTION DAY After the induction day we have changed our motto from ‘One Family under the Same Roof’ to ‘One Family Under God’. After changing, I haven’t seen anything remarkable happen yet. This may due to the fact that most people haven’t known that we have changed our motto. However, I expect that after they know about it, there will be some negative assumption toward us because they may get confused that we are Christians or the motto is related to religion. Even the confusion might happen, it’s not a big deal for GPF Inspired Youth, as we all understand this and we all have commitment to our group, we wholeheartedly will try our best to explain people about its actual meaning of the motto. Sooner or later, I believe that everyone will support us. Furthermore, after the induction day, we have built up our team friendship to a stronger one although many arguments and disagreements happened. We learned to find a peaceful solution to solve our problems and understood that all problems no matter big or small can be solved if we are willing to solve it.
20
WHAT IS OUR NEXT PLAN After the induction, we are planning to have one educational and environmental project called ‘25000 Riels and Environment’ aiming to promote clean environment around Undong Mountain, which is known as the tourism, historical and religious site of Cambodia. Besides this, we also want to promote volunteerism, build up team work, build up leadership skills, improve communication between youth and youth, changing their mindset about throwing trashes outside the bins and educate them about the history of Oudong Mountain. We will try to expand the project as much as possible so many people can participate and if possible, we will get the local residents to involve with us. We can also tell them about our vision “One family Under God”. Not only that, we are going to contact Imusic for helping us to translate the main song of GPF ‘Where peace begin?’ to our language. We are expecting to have a core value education which will teach us become a better person as well as a good leader. We are looking forward to have a GPVCamp here as soon as possible because this kind of educational program will be very helpful to Cambodian Youths. Moreover, we don’t want to be left out, thus we will keep a good relationship with GPF Asia Pacific, GPF Malaysia, GPF Indonesia.

TESTIMONIES
“I definitely keep my positive view of having an official chapter here in Cambodia and GPF is the main tool that can activate the young Cambodian mindset to be more open and dynamic in the near competitive edge ASEAN 2015. Somehow, GPFer will have ability to contribute some sort of thing back to their society and create things even much better in the future. I'm glad that all of you have the same vision, the same spirit, that's why we met each other on Nov 15, sat down for few hours with completely new people from different background. Obviously, together we are united and we love our team members, we love our family, we love our society, we love this world and surely love yourself.”
– SOU Monypich
“I wanted to be a part of this because I have wanted to do volunteer works for long time because I think doing volunteer can help me to gain more experiences and I want to make a lot of friends. I am really happy to see you guys really friendly and works hard with GPF. In addition, I want to help people who in need and I don’t want to waste my time do nothing anymore. “The first time I joined GPF Inspired Youth, I have never thought that it means a lot to me as I have been involving in a few volunteerism clubs that are similar to GPF Inspired Youth. I just thought that it's a volunteer work. After joining GPF, I have realized that, it's not only about volunteerism, it’s the place where you can learn, you can meet many talented people, you can feel you are a part of it, and you will never feel lonely or left behind when you are in GPF. I can say that love and care can be found in GPF and it changes my life.”
– SONG Pich Pauline
23
TESTIMONIES
“I initially decided to join GPF Inspired Youth because of friends' influences. I agreed with the idea and the vision but I did not expect GPF Inspired Youth to go this far and this fast and this serious. I thought this could be a normal volunteer work like what I have normally done. Unpredictably, it has gone beyond what I have expected, there are a lot of works to do and need a lot of effort to make it as good as possible. But at the same time, regardless how tired it is, I also enjoy doing it. I feel like, I finally do what I like to do and forget how tired I am because the main purpose is to reach and perfect that one same goal as a team. It builds up the team spirit and I have learnt a lot from each and everyone from the team members.”
– SUN Lymei
“I love helping and seeing people smile. I think GPF is the right place for me since it gives me chances to share my contributions to humanity and implement what I wish I could. I join GPF because I want to bring and do my best to make people live hopefully, happily and peacefully.”
– SUOS Sovanna

TESTIMONIES
“I have never thought of being a part of this. Being here with all of them create a special chapter in my life. I feel like have a bigger family, learning so many things from them, and especially work with them to make changes. I just want to contribute something back to this world. After I joined AYE in GPFM, my mindset just changed “Live for the sake of other people”. I want to volunteer and meet more people because seeing people being happy, make me happier. I believe that GPF vision “One Family Under God” will bring peace to humanity, especially Cambodia’s society. Moreover, everyone I met through AYE and GPF are so attentive and motivated and full of love, they guided me and taught me in many ways which I have realized that I learn so many things through them. Without them, we wouldn’t have this much spirit and movement. Most of all, It was because what my mother said, “ Be good to other, because no matter what happen, in the end they will be good to you too.” I just wish that there will be the GPF chapter here in Cambodia soon because I strongly believe GPF will provide a good impact for Cambodian Youth and People and many other problem in our society.”

TESTIMONIES
“As a member of GPF Inspired Youth, I'm feeling warm since everyone in the team living under the concept "one family under god". In addition, I can also grab a chance to make changes to the society with other members from GPF.”
– SOK Sopheakpanha
GPF Inspired Youth Cambodia have taken some pretty big step. As for the future, I hope we could inspired more people with our ideas. Moreover, essentially, really get to give back to the community, like helping the poor, old women in particular. Due to, their life expactancy I really wish we could fulfil their wishes because my mom always told me that they might never have eaten anything good in their life, therefore it is more preferable to help them with foods not only money. For we are youths' inspirers, I hope we would take this opportunity to show the youngsters of this generation the meaning of "respect the elders"
– CHUNG Anong Tepy

As I am the Cambodian Youth, I would like to work and help the Cambodian people and the society. About 2 weeks in GPF, I have involved in a lot of social activities and humanity. Last but not least, we are one family.”

“When I first heard about GPF from one of my friends, I hadn't had a slight idea of what this is all about. However, Vichka spent hours and hours to introduce me to GPF and shared his story of joining GPF programs in Indonesia; and all these inspirations got me to join GPF inspired youths. Regardless of differences, everyone in GPF inspired youths share a common goal, as we want to contribute to our society and make it a better place. Together GPF inspired youths will make positive impacts to our community and shaping the culture of promoting PEACE and living in harmony; and I want to be a part of this.”
