City Branding is a way to build a city’s identity. In this group assignment, we need to make the city branding of Majalengka. We chose this regency because it has a variety of potentials, but publications and expositions were still lacking.

Majalengka tourism stationery is used to complete correspondence activities. I use the main logo as a visual asset that is in focus , shape of the exploration, layout, and colour of the logo applied to the design.

As way to make it easier for tourists visiting Majalengka, a tourist map we made to show the distribution of tourism throughout the districs in Majalengka Regency.

“Nasgooor” is taken from acrotym “Nasi Goreng” which is well known in Indonesia, taken from the sign of a roadside fried rice seller who inspired the creation of this vernacular lettering. The four letter “O” represent various variations of the letter.

The goal is to produce new modern fonts with readibility and legibility as well as good letter consistency with a new nature and spirit inspired by the selected vernacular letters. Then also develop the potential in vernacular letters that can be appointed as characteristic typefaces.

02 Nasgoooor Typeface

Process Process starts by tracing the vernacular letters found. This step were meant to explore the characteristic of the vernacular typeface.

The chosen characteristics are: condensed, extreme, cross bar placement, thick weight, semi diagonal axis and rounded modular.

After doing some analysis, it was determined that these characters does not really have a clear system, which means each alphabet character has a different system. Therefore, I decided to choose a few of characteristics that were collected from the tracing step, and applied it to the sketch to made the early grouping system.

Final The anatomy of the Nasgoooor letters is the same as for other sans serif letters. The difference is seen in the location of the elements and the shape of the module which gives a different impression.

02 Nasgoooor Typeface

The use of Nasgooor in the cover of Millenial Koplo albums and music magazines. This typeface is used in forming the singer’s logo and headlines in magazine.

Besides being used in vernacular themed visual identity, Nasgooor with variety of ligatures can be applied in modern playful visual, such as juice bottle labels and shampoo, soap, and handsanitizer.

With simple and bold fonts, they can be used in sports themes such as posters and visual identity.

Kabinet KM ITB 2020/2021, Kabinet Arunika is a Kabinet that is based on the adaptive-integrative vision of KM ITB to increase community resilience in facing the challenges of the times to create KM ITB that is strong and able to develop despite the various challenges of the times because it has good learning abilities.

The characteristics of the movement of the Kabinet KM ITB in this period were human-centered, effective/solutional, original, creative/innovative, and a form of improvement from the previous KM ITB progress (continuous improvement).

To create an original, innovative, and creative visual identity, a competitive visual is created so that it is expected to attract more public attention.

From the Kabinet’s vision keywords, namely Adaptive, Integrative, and Resilience, the Ministry of Strategic Communications translates these keywords into visual keywords, namely:

03 Kabinet Arunika

The box is a representation of the

Kabinet Arunika as a container for the movement

of all cabinet elements. The circle is a representation of resilience that is not easily broken, toppled, or deformed. The circle is also defined as the portion of each Kabinet’s element. The sun is the representation of Arunika’s name, this cabinet is a symbol of new hope.

The main logo will also have a shape that rotates and revolves like the sun, the more perfect the circle shape, the more perfect the goals and objectives that have been implemented.

These logos are derivatives of the main logo, still have a representation of a container and a circle as a portion of each element. The icon of each element is a translation form of each value as well as the role element.

03 Kabinet Arunika

Emoji and patterns are used as visual assets in this brand identity. The emoji form is a simplification of information supporting objects, while the pattern is a derivative of ministry logos.

Character is a supporting visual asset to display the Ministry through the form of a character.

04 Zen Body Soap

Zen Antibacterial Body Soap is a soap product marketed by PT Bina Karya Indonesia. This antiseptic soap is made from red shisho leaves from Japan as one of the main formulas combined with various other natural ingredients, such as Sandalwood, Seasalt, and Sulfur.

I was engaged in visual crafting Zen Body Soap’s social media content based on the brief given by the studio. The mood to be displayed as a whole was the bond of love and a mother’s concern for her child and family.

The Tracer Study Book is the annual report of the Tracer Study team of ITB, which contains data on the distribution and reviews of alumni of ITB. The data is divided into 4 books based on the categories of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Scholarship, and User Study.

The target of this work is to change the data and text provided into a more attractive display with a bookshaped design output. Interesting content, still easy to read and understand.

The resulting solution is in the form of making a minimalist, modern, and youthful book design referring to the composition concept of an infographic. This is done, in order to display information briefly and easy to understand

Objective: Creating artwork with the theme “Indonesia Maju”.

Solution: Create a festive illustration with female characters as the main point, and Indonesian building objects as the illustration background.

All of the visual assets point to the right lifting the definition of “Forward”. The scene with the glittering night background was chosen to show how advanced Indonesia is with all its lights and technology.

Objective: Creating artwork The “children spectators” of a performative event (theatre, dance, music, etc.) in which the performer meets a young audience.

Solution: Create illustrations that show the enthusiasm of interactions between Indonesian performers and young audiences with an additional twist in the story.
