03.03.2020 coffee - walk in Gorazde - walk through the historical museum in Gorazde, guided by a historian - visiting the theatre in Gorazde (cultural centre) - crossing the bridge (most people) new bridge is being built for the cars, meaning the other bridge will be occupied with people and cars - Samir contacting the main people responsible for buildings/constructuon - Emir driving us to Vitkovici (5 km from Gorazde) on the main road - arrival; no permission to visit building (no. 1, 2, 3) drive back to the landfill - permission given to enter building no. 4 - building 4 scanned on all stories - back to Gorazde.

03.03.2020 (Left) wall detail of a destroyed house on the road to Vitkovici. Is the wound being covered? While a closer look on the ruins of (Азотара, building no.1) left in Vitkovici. The different openings in each floor indicating a functional purpose for the shape of hole in floor;nitrate reduction to ammonium, the nitrogen cycle.

03.03.2020 from inside the open large space in the building. The smell of ammoniak is still present inside this space. The remnants of sand and other materials used in the fabrication of ammonia oxidation. The stairs lead to a platau, that overlooks the production from above all the way down to where the tanks are. Another set of stairs lead to the roof (fire escape stairs)

03.03.2020 (right), the plateaus functioning as balconies overlooking the production line on the lower levels, these plataus are mainly working as circulation spaces, so the workers in the building have visual access to the chemicals produced on the bottom floor. (bottom) the roof is made of wooden panels.

03.03.2020 this section is the registration of the motel bazeni - once, an important spot for socializing,. The heart of the culture in Vitkovici. This pool area was supported by Azotara; the water was taken from the river Drina, and filtered and purified in a small treatment plant in Azotara, (one of the buildings). Thepools brought together people from accross generations,, mainly populated during soummertime.
