Culinary and Wine Tour 2014 We believe that culinary and wine traditions are among the most basic cultural signatures we have. Few experiences can equal being engulfed by the fresh scent of vegetables such as tomatoes or lemons, or herbs such as basil or oregano. To learn how to use these ingredients to prepare meals and to understand what wines to complement them with, becomes a rich exploration of the cultural traditions of the country visited. Join us this next August and September 2014 when Walden Tours travels to the Amalfi Coast, Provence, and Spain. Leading the group will be well known Vancouver chef, Ken Iaci. Chef Iaci has Calabrian roots and his family has been providing superb Italian food in Vancouver for two generations, but Chef Iaci’s skill encapsulates French and Spanish cooking. We have chosen to stay in villas so that we unpack and pack once. You will have a on hands cooking week with the chef, but will also have time to explore local wineries, cheese factories, a Limoncello Distillery in Italy or an Olive Farm in Spain. You will create lifetime skills and knowledge. And take home lifetime memories. Walden Tours . 604-304-6056 .
