Directions
This is a shorter walk, ideal if lockdown restrictions apply. From the front of the church, walk west along the wall until you get to a gate signposted ‘Footpath and Braydeston Church’. Go through the gate into the churchyard. Follow the church path, going over the first stile and continue along the path. There are some boardwalks, so take care as they can be slippery. Walk straight ahead, going up a gradient across two fields, and go over a second stile. Turn left and go through a kissing gate (main gate might be open), St Michaels & All Angels Church Braydeston is on your right. Turn right and go over the third stile next to the church and walk diagonally across the field. Look for a stile half way along the hedge. Go over the fourth stile and continue walking over two more fields and head for the farm buildings. Turn left at the yellow arrowed way marker post and walk away from the farm to the road. Turn left and follow the road for some distance along this lane, as it runs seamlessly through to Braydeston Hall Lane. When you reach the residential area, turn right into Shillito Road, passing several retirement bungalows. Turn left at the top and walk along the pavement until you reach a left turning to Danesbower Lane. Follow it to the end, and at the bottom turn right back to St. Andrew and St. Peter Church.
Group walks will depend on covid restrictions. Please check our Facebook page Central Norfolk Walking for Health to check what’s available and to book onto a walk.

ADVERTORIAL ECO SWAPS – soft soap your way to a safer, greener life
There are many important things on our minds at the moment, including how to avoid Covid-19 and, for many, how to live a ‘greener’ life. So here’s some good news; you can tackle both these issues by swapping plastic packaged, and often toxic, household cleaning and washing products for a single naturally antimicrobial soap. Meet our British Hemp Oil Soap, a multipurpose ‘soft’ soap for washing, cleaning and shaving. Made from British grown hemp, left as a concentrate, this soap can be used straight from the jar for antimicrobial hand washing, exfoliating dead and dry skin, and for rash free shaving. The magic begins when the soap it is used for cleaning. On its own, or diluted in hot water, it tackles steel, enamel, plastic, leather and traditional flooring such as parquet, tiles, brick, marble and linoleum. And it’s especially effective when used with a Scrubby natural scouring pad. It excels at hand washing wool clothing, cleaning grubby cuffs and collars, wiping oil cloth coats, plus linen, cotton and silk. In the kitchen, this soap leaves the sink and taps sparkling, and the fridge, oven grills, hob, cooker hood and roasting pans looking like new. And while it’s working hard, it’s kind to sensitive skin.
In my house, we use a water-based, tree-grown detergent called Soapnuts for washing up, windows and shiny surfaces — so we only have two types of soap in our house. I never have to worry that I am putting chemicals into rivers, breathing in toxic chemicals, or that plastics in my recycle bin won’t be recycled. So, swap your cleaning products for British Hemp Oil Soap now and discover a safer, greener way of life.
