Memories of Oakley
Local historian, Dennis Cross from Diss, shares with us his fascinating collection of old postcards, focusing on a different village in every issue. This time, we take a walk down memory lane in Oakley.

Bottom Left: The Oakley Harriers, in 1920, on a hunt at Worlingworth. They travelled from village to village with landowners’ permission and must have been quite a sight!
Bottom Right: The Oakley Green Man pub, in 1912, with its delightful thatched roof. The landlord at the time was Robert Green. The pub closed in the 1960s.
