KICK-START your day!
Getting your day off to the best possible start doesn’t have to be daunting or boring. Adding a few simple changes to your early morning routine will give a huge boost to your health and wellbeing.

Wake slowly
We know it’s tempting, but reaching for your phone first is not a great habit! Take your time waking up – open your eyes, look around and actively check out how your body is feeling. If you can wake up without an alarm, in tune with your body’s natural circadian rhythm, so much the better.
Hydrate
Drinking a glass of water is the perfect way to start your day. Try using a water bottle to remind you to drink regularly and aim to drink at least a couple of litres a day. If you are not a super water fan, try adding a slice of fresh lemon or ginger root, or maybe an organic elderflower cordial, to bring it to life!
Exercise
Working out in the morning boosts energy levels and maintains fitness. Avoid workout fatigue by mixing cardio (5km run or fast walk) with weights. Regular exercise has also been shown to benefit mental health.
Fuel up
A quick coffee will give you a spike in energy, but it’s not enough to keep you going. Get into the habit of eating a sensible breakfast packed with fibre and protein…it will really set you up for the rest of the day.
