30th Annual Kemptville Winter Woodlot Conference The Times They are a-Changin’: Celebrating 30 Years of the Kemptville Winter Woodlot Conference Wednesday February 22, 2017 Registration is now open for the 30th Annual Kemptville Winter Woodlot Conference to be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the North Grenville Municipal Complex! Join us as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Kemptville Winter Woodlot Conference. We’ll journey through time in exploring how our forests and their management have changed over the past three decades, and, likewise, consider what’s on the horizon for our forests. This year’s keynote speaker is Peter Kimbell, Warning Preparedness Meteorologist, Meteorological Service of Canada, Environment and Climate Change Canada. Peter has been a meteorologist with Environment Canada for close to 30 years. He has experience in forecasting for marine and aviation clients, the military, and the general public. Currently Peter is on assignment as the Manager of the Ontario Storm Prediction Centre in Toronto. This will provide landowners an opportunity to ask questions they have always wondered about. Registration in advance is required by February 17, 2017. The registration fee is $35 and includes refreshments and lunch.
