Project description:
Traffic circulation
The building type is a research lab of Harley Davidson Motorcycle. The research lab provides inspirational spcaes for researches, designers, and visitors.
The Harley-Davidson Research Lab is a multi-building complex. The main laboratory space is highly open, establishing beautiful views of the Harley campus, downtown Milwaukee, the 6th Street Bridge, and the Menomonee canal. The research lab is not a typical lab, as the building form uses the frame of a motorcycle as a metaphor to create a creative and inspirational space for the researchers and designers to work in. The design sculpts a void at the center of the building in order to connect the campus to the canal and historic Walker’s Point buildings.
