JR. & SR. HIGH STUDENTS Connect Wednesday (grades 6-12) meets Wednesdays in North Campus Room 131, 6:30-8 p.m. Youth meet for worship and small groups through the school year. Students sign up for their small group choice at Connect Wednesday. This Fall our Discipleship and Small Group options are: • Case for Christ: Investigative journalist and atheist, Lee Strobel decided to investigate Jesus for himself. Join him in his journey from skepticism to faith. • Case for Faith: Teens are on the frontlines everyday defending Christianity. Their friends ask tough questions. Lee Strobel provides biblically solid answers in contemporary language, with charts, illustrations, and stories that clarify abstract truths. • Family Matters: Divorce through the eyes of a teen. This group is designed to give hope and restoration to teens hurting from the changes of divorce.

Back-2-School Bash & Muckfest (grades 6-12): Saturday, September 15 from 6-10 p.m. for youth and their friends. The entry fee is $10 per person. There will be games, prizes, a concert, special guests "Team Xtreme," and "The Food Fight" (please wear old clothes). How do I become a member of Vineyard Church and learn what it is all about? You are invited to attend Vineyard 101 - Connecting with the Vineyard. How do I get prayer for something specific? A prayer team is available to pray for you after every Celebration Service in the front of the Auditorium. Prayer Request cards are available in the chair backs. Fill out the card and drop it in the offering. The pastoral staff and prayer team pray over these requests.

Food Pantry: Serve a couple of times monthly on Monday, Wednesday, or Saturday mornings from 9-11:30 a.m. to put food away and to assist families needing food. If interested contact Denise Bearce at 816.734.8100. Meals Ministry is looking for people who have a heart to help those who need meals because of an illness, surgery, or child birth. If you are willing to prepare and/ or deliver a prepared meal, contact Cyndi Wolfe at 816.858.2233. Contact Cyndi if you are in need of assistance or know of someone in our church who is in need. Vineyard Golfers meets Fridays 5-7 p.m. at Shoal Creek golf course. Men and women can use this time as an outreach by inviting friends, co-workers, or neighbors to join us in fellowship, fun, fresh air, and the opportunity to test our patience and focus on joy. This weekend retreat offers an opportunity for healing for any man or woman who has struggled with emotional or spiritual pain after the choice of abortion. The retreat gives you a chance, in a nonjudgmental environment, to begin healing and experience God's love and compassion. Married couples are encouraged to attend. Participation is strictly confidential. Cost is $175 for meals, private room, and all retreat materials. Financial assistance available.
