LUNCH IDEAS FOR KIDS RECIPES Mothers personally communicate to me and tell how helpful they find weekly planners. It encourages me to put them up every weekend. Continuing the practice, here is another weekly kids’ tiffin planner.


MONDAY: MINI BURGERS Our cuties deserve these cuties; it is Monday for them too. Certainly, Mommies will have to work a little on Sunday night to fix mini burgers for their tiffin on Monday. Very healthy patty made up of spinach, green peas etc are used to make this kids’ tiffin recipe, but shhh… it is between us because kids won’t come to know that they are eating so many greens. Use whole wheat buns and make these mini burgers.


TUESDAY: ROTI UPMA This Monday make few extra chapatis. Next day convert them into something which you will be tempted to indulge in while preparing it. Roti upma is a fantastic recipe which fits the category of the makeup of the leftover. Do try it, your kids will love this tangy preparation. Pack a tumbler of chach with roti upma, tiffin ready!


WEDNESDAY: RAVA IDLI The very popular MTR idlis are so much popular. They have a combination of flavors and textures. They are soft and spongy with the bites of fried chana dal etc. They have the hint of mustard seeds, curry leaves and much more. Pack a piece of coconut barfi with rava idli, tiffin ready!


THURSDAY: SABUDANA KHICHADI These soft sago pearls, when cooked with cumin seeds and other spices along with potatoes and peanuts and topped with lots of lemon juice and fresh coriander leaves, is sure to please one and all be adults or kids. Pack an orange with sabudana khichadi, tiffin ready!


FRIDAY: POHA ROLLS TGIF! Kids deserve something tempting on Friday. Let’s make these delicious poha rolls and help them celebrate their Friday. Pack a tumbler of juice with poha rolls, tiffin ready!


SATURDAY: INSTANT SOOJI CHEELA

Whenever you pack any paratha or cheela the best way to do that is by rolling it and securing with some food wrap or toothpick (make sure the child is mature enough to carefully remove and discard the toothpick, otherwise avoid it.) And if it is a fussy item, don’t forget to drizzle little ketchup. Pack a piece of cake with instant sooji cheela, tiffin ready!
