There’s a lot to see in the Tweed and to make sure you don’t miss a thing, why not plan ahead to map out your journey along a trail of choice, from coast to countryside landscapes and ranging from drive trails to hiking, biking and even paddle trails.

For an immersive getaway exploring our valley life, jump online to the interactive Tweed Hinterland Gems experience. You’ll find suggested drive trails to navigate our vibrant foodie, arts, heritage and nature offerings and be invited to unlock a host of hidden gems from unique offers to insider knowledge shared by locals.

Dive deeper into the Tweed’s vast green caldera with a drive itinerary along The Rainforest Way. Look up the Tweed Range Scenic Drive and be guided along an itinerary to discover ancient rainforest and panoramic views from atop the towering rim of a onetime volcano.

If getting out in the fresh air to take a trail is more your thing, there’s much in store, from tracks throughout the Border Ranges National Park, incorporating day walks and campsites for overnight hikes, to exciting future trail plans that are currently in development. There will be an enhanced multi-day walking track route connecting the Tweed and Byron hinterland trails, as well as a Northern Rivers Rail Trail that will create a 130km long trail for hikers, bikers and runners from the Byron hinterland through to Murwillumbah, along the old North Coast railway line.
