Bop Vcc Annual Daffodil Rally For Cancer 2023

Sunday 20th August 2023. Everyone and all makes and models of vehicles are welcome to join in the Car Display and the Rally. All proceeds from the day will be donated to our local Cancer Society. Thankyou for supporting this worthy cause.

CAR DISPLAY - A car display in the public car park next to the BOP VCC club rooms, 29 Cliff Road, Tauranga from 10 am to 1pm. GATES - The gates will open for display vehicles from 9am.

COST - $10 per vehicle will be collected, All proceeds to the local Cancer Society. NB: CASH ONLY.

ARRIVAL TIME - Please park your vehicles BEFORE 9.45am Public entry at 10am. IMPORTANT - Please NO moving vehicles in the car park after the public enter. PARKING MARSHALLS - Parking marshals will be BOP VCC members who will be wearing HiViz vests. IMPORTANT - Would one-make motoring clubs please group vehicles together where possible.

PUBLIC - The public are invited to view the cars. Gold coin donation to the local Cancer Society.

FOOD OPTIONS: at the BOP VCC club grounds.

1. A sausage sizzle will be available from early.

2. The BOP VCC kitchen will be open for tea & coffee. Morning tea available for purchase.

3. The Papamoa Lions Food caravan will be selling hot dogs, hot chips, and bacon and egg butties.

4. The 'c4 Street Food and Expresso' van will be onsite selling delicious takeaway food and drinks. EFTPOS will be accepted (no credit cards or paywave).

5. D'Vine Grindz coffee vendor for hot and cold drinks.

HEALTH & SAFTEY: Qualified First Aiders on site if medical assistance is required. A comprehensive first aid kit and a defibrillator on site.

SPECIAL RIDES: During the morning the Mustang Owners Club will be taking some children for rides, departing from and returning to the lawn in front of the VCC rooms. Please keep this area clear so that everyone will be safe.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a pre-arranged event with the local Cancer Society.

BRIEFING:1pm muster at the BOP VCC next to the car park.

ENTRY FEE: All vehicles that have paid the $10 entry are invited to join the run.

NON VCC PARTICPANTS: are required to complete an official entry form (SEE ATTACHED) and bring to the event. These forms will be collected from the driver on leaving the carpark, in return for route instructions. "Guests are required to complete the official Vintage Car Club of New Zealand Inc entry form prior to this event taking place. By completing this form you are included under the Club's Public Liability Policy with Vero Liability Insurance Ltd for property damage and personal injury."

AFTERNOON TEA: The run will be ending at an historic hall where the BOP VCC members will be providing a superb afternoon tea for Rally participants - we hope you will join us and enjoy mixing and socialising with others who were on the run.

COST - $5 per person this will be collected at the hall door. CASH ONLY please.

THE RALLY ROUTE: There will be an awesome mixture of highway, byways, and country roads, that you will travel down, to the barrels of the earth, and back up along the ridges.

PLEASE NOTE: "There is 1km of hard unsealed road".DURATION OF RALLY -Approx -1.5 hours. We are looking forward to you joining us for a great afternoon's driving around the local countryside, with like-minded people who love their vehicles, and will enjoy having a chat over afternoon tea afterwards. At the same time, we are not only showcasing our 'pride and joys', but getting the opportunity to support our local branch of the Cancer Society, a most worthy cause!

IMPORTANT - RSVP: Would each car club contact/events person please advise me of numbers attending by Wednesday the 16th of August. This is mainly for car park planning and afternoon tea catering, thanking you in advance.
