Hi guys.

It's been a busy old time for me over the past two months. So thanks again to Steve for charing the last meeting as well. Progress has been made on organising Henry Ford day on the 29th of July. Cheers Don't forget the Ashburton garage raid which should be worthwhile attending. Daffodil day is underway as well thanks to Steve which will be the organiser for the events on that day. Watch this space brush off The Dust on your Nifty 50 and any vintage motorcycle. There will be a run as part of Daffodil Day on the Sunday the 20th of August more to come. The waimate poultry club has just held their 100 year poultry show. Alongside I organised a car show for the waimate Vintage Car Club. I can tell you now it was successful for the poultry Club. A huge thank you to those people who took the time to support them. Those people who attended or was involved with the poultry club had a lot of fun with judging the cars for people choice and making short movies with their chooks in the cars. We also had a sausage sizzle a coffee cart and candy floss there which also will very successful. It's great that clubs can support one another to create a different atmosphere for the day. Also I would like to sing those Vintage Car Club members that helped to set up and pull down the poultry cages etc for the show. Great to see so many members there.

Well got to go now see you at the next meeting. 20th July 7.30

Cheers Owen

Greetings

Nothing to report this month, as I did not organize a club run. I have however been away on the “Irishmans” along with the Rogers clan. Its good to travel on proper roads, mainly shingle and dirt with no moderns just vintage cars and a couple of veterans.

There is a lot of events coming up this month so there should be something for everyone.

.Despite the fact that the “Park it” at the Market idea was squashed , I am going to try it in the Spring time. Nothing to lose maybe something to gain , details will follow.

On the home front I have managed to get my 1910 Brush single cylinder up and running again so looking forward to driving around when it warms up a little. It has no windscreen and no doors and you sit up high so can be a little breezy.

Remember if you are going to be sitting on your ****** it might as well be behind the wheel of your favorite car at least you will have something to hold onto that’s nota TV remote Cheers Brett
