COVER LETTER

RESIDENTIAL PROJECT THEATER AND LIBRARY
Laboratory Of Architectural And Urban Design
The objective of this work was to create a new urban center, strengthening the residential and public suburban area of Corsico’s city that does not count with services and identity. At the urban scale, the project aims to connect the suburban area to the center of Corsico by including cycling and walking paths along the higer towpath. The residences are located in five buildings at redent that, are aligned with the existing context and reaching the perimeter of the block, creating two large open courtyards. The new theatre building overlooks the square and contains a priority street including the
following functions: an audience articulated in different distributive solutions that guarantees to have a theatre in both traditional and central scene, a creative workshop, a bar, a playing area for children and a large full height central foyer. Through a raised reticular pedestrian bridge it is possible to cross the canal, and have direct access from the square, theatre and library. This last has been obtained in the Main Guard’s complex below and to ensure close social co-operation between public and social residence was also provided for an exhibition gallery and apartments/studios for temporary artists.

FLOWS IN MOTION UTOPIA RELOADED
Laboratory Of Interior Design I
The main purpose of the project is to relink the Robin Hood Gradens estate to the rest of the urban context. In order to do thid, we have chosen to analyse the flow tenants and residents of surrounding neighbourhoods. this study led to the creacion of two portals at the hinges of the long block and to the design of a commercial ground floor in the same building.these action, combinad with the requalificacion of the central garden, helped createing a center of attracion for the inhabitants of the neighbourhood . To match the demands for new residences we have added two new floors for
both buildings, respecting the deck typology. We have also decided to increase the volume of the apartments on the ground floor of the second block. The new residences, design to accomodate a family of 10 people, are characterized by central patio on the ground floor and large balconies on the upper floors. Finally the existing apartements were combined and redesign to be more spacous and confortable for large families, who now live in small and inadequate spaces

RED AND BLUE DESIGN MODEL
Laboratory Of Interior II
The project involves the design of the Red and Blue Retvield’s chair. The design intent, following a suitable study of the chair considered, is to provide a fun and comfortable alternative without, however, distorting the original design; thereby maintaining a certain recognition. The idea is inspired by the mechanism of the water and basically keeps the original frame without major changes but to completely get rid of the two parts which in the original chair represents the actual act of sitting. These were replaced by a simple frame made from a single piece and to which we have anchored the
system of ropes. The peculiarity is that now the chair is very dynamic as it adapts perfectly to the shape of the body which shapes the form. (There are two different angles allowing the sitting position and that relaxed one). It is entirely made from oak wood and the strings are white to create a nice contrast with the wood.

A NEW ENTRANCE TO THE PARK
Workshop Out of Donana
The aim of our design strategy is to make the city more dynamic and active intervening, by identifying abandoned urban spaces and gaps that can be effectively revalued in order to create a kind of green ring, a linear park across the full urbanized defining a new matrix for urban expansion. This enables a faster connection within the city and the creation of strategic issues in urban areas identified from the intersection of the new park and the existing routes. In order to restore this area and enhance, the dignity of the project involves the construction of the entrance
to the park of Do単ana, this last one reachable by small boats that navigate through river. The intervention is designed from the highest point and the first architectural theme dealt with is how to overcome the height difference; To this aim, the design solution integrates and respects nature, revealing only parts of the actual structure used as a library dedicated to the Do単ana National Park and its food court/cafeteria. A system of walkways allows to descent and connects directly to the highest part of the system to the underlying urban spaces that are followed up to the river.
