There’s something to be said for having a local place you know you can count on to have exceptional service and delicious food, where the atmosphere is lively and welcoming and the patronage—like the staff—are familiar faces.
Since 1986, Union Street Public House (USPH) has been that place, uniquely located in a renovated colonial warehouse on the waterfront that is part of what gives the restaurant its appeal. “Union Street is Old Town’s neighborhood tap and grill,” says GM Al Chadsey. “Not only is USPH the perfect place to watch a game and enjoy a burger and a beer, but we also offer four private event spaces for any special event.”
Whether hosting a party or having dinner with friends, “People love to come to Union Street because they know they’ll always experience exceptional service, enjoy a great meal and create wonderful memories,” Chadsey says. “Union Street is also home to the ‘unofficial mayor of Old Town,’ Bruce Witucki. Bruce has tended bar at Union Street since it opened, and he remembers patrons, no matter how long they have been away. They always enjoy catching up with him in the taproom.”
