Winning Bronze: Stefani Pierce

As tan as we all love to be, rocking that sun-kissed glow can be dangerous—which is why self-tanning products and spray tanning salons have taken such a foothold in the beauty industry. As a 12-year veteran of the tanning industry, Stefani Pierce knows from personal experience, spray tanning comes with all the appeal of the real deal—without the damage that comes from it. “I was tanning in the tanning bed almost every single day for years and could see my skin changing, and not in a good way,” says Pierce. “I knew there had to be a better solution to stay bronzed, and this led to my discovery of airbrush tanning. I instantly felt more confident and soon sought out how I could make my passion a business.” A proud military spouse, Pierce was brought to Alexandria by her husband’s service orders. Two years later, she’s established herself in the business community as the owner of the Bronze Collective, formerly known as Spray Tans by Stefani, an organic airbrush tanning salon specializing in contour tanning techniques and professional LED Teeth Whitening services. Driven by her entrepreneurial spirit and a true love for what she does, Pierce is an impressive force, a master certified airbrush artist with tans featured in publications including Elle magazine and Maxim online, as well as on Bravo TV and at awards shows such as the Emmys. Her salon has also won “Best of D.C.”
