Treva Gordon recently presented LOSS (Lending Our Shared Stories), to a packed house at The Roxy Regional Theatre.
Gordon shared her story – “Rise”, saying, “That’s my story as a widow. I wanted to share my experience and my truth, which was that I was heartbroken. But, God elevated me and helped me. I wanted to share the message that when we give it to God. He will help us through.”
Gordon’s daughter opened the show with the song Rise by Andra Day. Johnny Collier, Vice President, National Federation of the Blind was presented the Pastor Robert E. Gordon Spirit of Excellence Award.
“It was a great turnout, and a beautiful celebration with comedy and spoken word,” Gordon said. “It was a starstudded, red carpet event and a wonderful celebration and sharing of our story.”
