GRANDMA´S DONUTS

INGREDIENTS - 350 gr. plain flour - 3 teaspoons baking powder - 80 gr. butter - 100 gr. sugar - 1 egg - 125 ml milk - powder sugar - Oil for deep frying

PREPARATION METHOD: • • •

Sieve flour and baking powder into a bowl. Blend in the butter using two forks until there are no pieces. Mix in the sugar with a spoon.

• In a separate bowl, beat egg and milk together. • Make a hole in the flour mixture and pour in the egg and milk. • Knead until it doesn’t stick to your hands. Add flour as needed. • • •

Roll out the dough on a well floured surface (1.5 cm thickness). Cut into a donut shape using a cookie cutter. Make a large hole in the middle with your finger.

• Deep fry in hot vegetable oil until golden brown. • Drain on kitchen paper. • Sprinkle the donut with powder sugar and serve!
