HR 1.4 Employment at Will
HR 1.4 Employment at Will
Employees of Virginia Wesleyan University are employed at the will of the University and are subject to termination at any time, for any reason, with or without cause or notice. At the same time, such employees may terminate their employment at any time and for any reason with 30 days’ notice. Vice presidents must provide at least three months' notice. Not fulfilling this notice will result in the employee not being eligible for rehire.
Completion of an introductory period of employment, or conferral of regular status, does not change an employee's status as an employee-at-will or in any way restrict the right of the University to terminate such an employee or change the terms or conditions of employment.
