AREA OF INTEREST – REASON FOR THE SELECTION
Ÿ Navi Mumbai is suitable according to my Dissertation study and Analyses. Ÿ The Reason behind the Select the Navi Mumbai city is an Urban Context
because it is designed (Neighbourhood Concept) a planned township of the Mumbai off the west coast of the Maharashtra. Ÿ The City is divided into two parts North Navi Mumbai and South Navi Mumbai. SION - PANVEL HIGHWAY
North Navi Mumbai Have A More Industrial Areas Compare To The Residential Areas.
South Navi Mumbai Have All Type Of The Areas (Residential, Commercial And Etc.). The Included areas in Navi Mumbai are:Airoli, Ghansoli, Mahape, Rabale, Sanpada, Nerul, Kamothe, KoparKhairane, Gharapuri, Vashi, Belapur, Seawoods, Kharghar, Sion, Taloja and Panvel etc.
KHARGHAR AREA Ÿ Kharghar Is Located On The Sion-panvel Highway. Ÿ It Is A Node In The City Of Navi Mumbai Of Maharashtra State In Konkan Division. Ÿ It Is Measures About 1700 Ha, 7 Km Long And 5 Km Wide. There Are 12 Village Settlements Located In Kharghar Node Having A Combined Population Of 20,000 And Divided Into 45 Sectors. CENTRAL PARK
Central Park is a blend of landscape and Urban Design, making it a theme park that shall sustain on its own. Kharghar Central Park is developed as a modern park blending the concept of the famous Hyde Park of London (350 Acre) and Central Park of New York (843 Acre) with a conscious effort by CIDCO not to emulate these historic parks, but to create a park synthesizing the concept of these parks along with the ethos of Navi Mumbai. Large scale open space located at the centre of Kharghar in Navi Mumbai. It spreads over an area of around 8,00,000 SQ.M. (80 Ha) in Sectors 23, 24 & 25. It virtually creates a 'Green-Link' between the hills dotting Kharghar & the creek, while a natural channel runs from hills to creek with fully grown trees and vegetation spread over sporadic locations.

URBAN DESIGN STUDIO
NEIGHBOURHOOD PLANNING OF RAJOLPURA AT ANAND, GUJARAT
Urban Design Is The Process Of Shaping The Physical Setting For Life In Cities, Towns And Villages. It Is The Art Of Making Places. It Involves The Design Of Buildings, Groups Of Buildings, Spaces And Landscapes And Establishing The Processes That Make Successful Development Possible. IN THE ORIENTATION OF URBAN DESIGN , I LEARN DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF URBAN DESIGN PLANNING AND ALSO STUDY & ANALYSES DIFFERENT CITIES LIKE BRASILIA, NEW RAIPUR, JAIPUR, WASHINGTON DC AND DELHI . PROJECT BRIEF:WE STUDY AND ANALYSES ALL ANAND, IN THAT WE UNDERSTAND ISSUES & CONCERN OF USERS AT DIFFERENT AREA. AFTER THAT AS NEW AREA DEVELOPMENT, I DESIGN DIFFERENT PLACE WHERE PEOPLE CAN ENJOY IT. ORIENTATION STUDY OF ANAND AREA

CASE STUDY :CITY OF LAKE, CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA Ÿ City to the Lake is a visionary idea that will transform
Canberra’s city center and enhance its significance as the National Capital. Ÿ It is an ambitious long term project that will change the way Australians think about Canberra. Ÿ By Purposing under utilized land in central Canberra, it will provide a direct link from the city to Lake Burley Ÿ Griffin and will create a new active waterfront foreshore in West Basin. REASON FOR RE - DEVELOPMENT Ÿ Ÿ Ÿ Ÿ
PARKES WAY, IN PHYSICAL DESIGN AND HIGH SPEED VEHICLE ENVIRONMENT, CREATES A BARRIER BETWEEN THE CITY, LAKE BURLEY GRIFFIN AND ITS PARKLAND.
THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF AUSTRALIA IS PHYSICALLY ISOLATED FROM THE CITY. THERE IS POOR PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLIST CONNECTIVITY.
THE USE OF URBAN CAPABLE LAND AS SURFACE
SURFACE CARPARKS CREATE MAJOR SPATIAL DISCONTINUITIES AND PROVIDE NO ACTIVATION OR CONTRIBUTION TO CITY-LIFE.
To Transform Canberra's City Center CARPARKS PREVENTS USES THAT MAXIMISE VALUE OF THIS LAND AND DIMINISHES THE Enhance its Significance as the National Capital of Australia Oversee Development & Heritage Conservation area around Lake PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT. KEY MOVES OF THE DESIGN ... Create the Public Space around the Lake Periphery Area
Overcoming the barrier of Parkes Way
• Reducing the barrier of Parkes Way. • Enabling a solution to connect the city to the lake and the lake to the city. • Creating better pedestrian and cyclist connectivity.
Creating a new Public Waterfront
EXISTING CONDITIONS
Connecting Central Canberra
Ÿ Extending the permeable city grid. Ÿ Seamlessly connecting the city to West Basin and
Commonwealth Park. Ÿ Providing an integrated and permeable city form by creating a network of public spaces, paths and streets. Ÿ Providing a legible fine grain network of lanes and walkable public space.
Reinforcing a Civic Heart
• Creating an active and generous waterfront public realm where daily life meets the lake. • Creating Canberra’s great event and meeting space with an activation program that benefits the National Capital and its visitor economy.
• Creating a vibrant and activated place. • Retaining City Hill as the heart of the city and as an enclosed and activated public space. • Completing Canberra’s avenues and geometry. • Defining Urban Structure and form. • Expanding the city heart and footprint.
Strengthening the Canberra Landscape
Celebrating a Leisure and Entertainment Destination
• Connecting the Canberra landscape - Acton Peninsula, Black Mountain, Commonwealth Park and West Basin. • Retaining the memorable landscape identity parks, gardens, tree lined streets. • Creating diverse new public spaces for Central Canberra.
• Programming events and festivals to create an authentic and memorable place. • Creating an economically sustainable precinct. • Create cultural partnerships to activate the waterfront and the existing City. • Provide health and well being facilities including sport and recreation events.

IT’S VERY ATMOSPHERIC. IT’S NOT A BUILDING THAT IS A SEVERE STATEMENT IN THE SKYLINE. WE NEED THE HEIGHT; OTHERWISE, THE BUILDING ALMOST DISAPPEARS BECAUSE IT IS SO SLENDER.
