OUR BACKGROUND Visionary Living began as a rug importing company in 1998. The company was then known as “The Rug Warehouse”. What began as a direct import company, refocused to become a design house with our own creations, commission tufted in both India and China. These were the days, the lucrative days, of Taiwanese acrylic yarns and Indian wools. One of our manufacturers in China was a Belgian entrepreneur by the name of Thomas Baert, you would know Thomas as the coowner and founder of CFL Industries and the driving founding force and still shareholder of what is now known as Domotex China. When Thomas moved into laminate manufacturing in 2002 we became his 2nd customer. Our interest and passion for flooring was lit. By 2005 it was self-evident that the flooring industry was conservative and resistant to change, the hard floor manufacturers, like the rug manufacturers that we had initially dealt with were patient, waiting for that one 4

innovative product to be proven and then all pounced, mass producing and copying what they themselves could not imagine and in doing so drove down the value from the product almost immediately. To a small business, as we were, we could not possibly survive if all we had to offer was “me too” products. We had to change, for if not our circumstances would not change either, this led to us accepting the mantra “if nothing changes nothing changes”. Accepting that all things constantly change, as they should, Visionary Living sought to become a change agent. We needed to reboot our business, Visionary Living needed not only to accept change but to give direction to it. Success demands that you must be at the forefront, to see what is unseen, and understand its nature and its prospects. To do so you must be prepared to accept the strategy of risk reward, for the most part we
have got it right, although change will bring its failures. But in truth it is hard to progress without some miscalculations, but learn we did.

Stycco Flex is suitable for fixing stair nosings without the need for mechanical fixing to suitably sound substrates. It is also suitable for bonding carpet gripper, uPVC cladding, skirting boards, architrave and trims. It can also be used to secure header rows when installing wood flooring. Stopgap P131 is a primer designed to promote the adhesion of STOPGAP smoothing underlayments to smooth non-absorbent surfaces. It can also be used as a general purpose primer for absorbent surfaces to promote adhesion and to prevent unacceptably rapid drying of adhesives and smoothing underlayments. It is suitable for use in marine applications as part of an IMO system. It is suitable for use over normal underfloor heating installations. Stopgap P131 is coloured green to provide the user with visual control of coverage uniformity. Styccobond F49 HYBRID PS is a temperature tolerant, water-based pressure sensitive adhesive that can be used for installing: • Vinyl floorcoverings • Skirting, coving and capping • PVC edgings • PVC backed textile floor and wall coverings It is designed for use in conservatories, areas where floor to ceiling windows are installed and other areas where floorcoverings have to be tolerant of extreme temperature variations. It gives a strong initial tack and high bond strength. The mixing of the two unique components maximises the high strength of the adhesive and makes it suitable for use in service conditions where temperatures can fluctuate between -200 C and +600 C, in accordance with floorcovering manufacturers’ recommendations. It is protected against bio-degradation and is suitable for use over normal underfloor heating systems. Styccobond F49 Hybrid PS provides an extremely strong water resistant bond enabling application in areas subject to water/high humidity when used in conjunction with a suitable STOPGAP smoothing underlayment. Outstanding plasticiser resistance ensures Styccobond F49 Hybrid PS can be used for securing highly plasticised flooring accessories and trims. The high final bond strength ensures optimum dimensional stability throughout the lifetime of the installation. Styccobond F49 HYBRID PS can be used for securing a wide range of PVC floorcoverings in both tile and sheet format. When installing sheet floorcoverings, install while the adhesive is wet; the subfloor must be absorbent to allow drying of the adhesive. See the F. Timbermax TG only uses responsibly sourced and certified Australian timbers. Timbermax TG uses 13 layers of European engineered coating to ensure a tough and durable surface that is able to stand up to daily wear and tear when maintained correctly. Timbermax TG is also stain resistant and has an added protective layer to ensure your floors are well protected. Timbermax TG uses the original Tongue and Groove (T&G) installation profile, which makes it an easy DIY option, and gives the timber extra spill protection in the joints by using a water resistant glue. This significantly reduces water damage as well as any squeaking issues that can occur in other types of timber floors.
