Custom DH rod series consist of wide range of models with specific actions and lengths. We wanted to have free hands for creating really cool actions for each model and not be restricted by a certain type of action for the whole series. The actions vary a lot from model to model and are designed for the task they are most likely going to be used for. Each rod has a name that describes the personality of the rod.

Hero Dh

SWITCH HERO is a true all round switch rod. It excels in bigger trout rivers as well as in mid-sized salmon rivers and when rigged up with a Hybrid line it is super easy and comfortable to cast.

SALMON HERO If you had to choose one rod for salmon fishing, it would be the 13’7” #8 weight. It is handy in smaller rivers but has enough kick in the butt to be used even in big rivers and high water conditions. This rod handles all type of lines, from a full floater to the fastest sinking. - Medium fast action

Glass Salmon

Rig this rod up with a 580 grain Ace Skagit and you’ll be surprised how far and easy it casts! This is not a soft & heavy old school glass rod but a modern salmon tool with a deeeeeeep bend.

The Click reels are made with an for the ultimate lightness. The 34 reel weighs only 65 grams and the 56 only 73 grams, being one of the lightest fly reels in its class. Reel’s large arbour speeds the line pick up when reeling in and narrow spool aligns the line nicely. Full body rim prevents thin nymphing lines slipping into wrong places and the clicker is adjustable and powerful enough for normal trout fishing.

56 and 78 are lightweight, large-arbour reels with well tested sealed disc brake design. Merisuola 78 has the same large-arbour design and brake system as the XO 78 however we have increased the brake power and capacity for this saltwater version of the XO reel.

89 Additional size to the XO reel family. The 89 is the ideal size reel for heavier single hand rods and Switch rods. With thin backing and monofilament running line it has enough capacity even for smaller double handers. The brake system is a slightly tamed version of the bigger and more brutal 910 & 1012 reels allowing us to make the ideal weight reel for the purpose with big enough maximum brake force. The reel’s frame and spool are machined elegantly thin for weight reduction but the “wine glass look” construction itself makes this reel super rigid.

910 & 1012 have the XO reel’s stunning look fused with XLB reel’s bomb proof & powerfull brake. The brake mechanism has been used for over 20 years with countless huge fish under its belt and now it’s mounted on this sturdy but beautiful reel family. On these reels this proven brake mechanism is sealed even better than in its predecessors. These bigger reels are aimed for heavy salmon and saltwater use. The brake power increases very linearly within 2,5 rounds, giving you impressive 8kg maximum force. The waterproofing utilises axle seals from German Ina and all bearings are from Japan.

PREDATOR is a reel family to perfectly accommodate our Predator rods. Reels themselves are the same trusty XO´s, just with a different make up.

NYMPH has a proper disc brake package, a real largearbour design and an EVA handle which provides a solid grip even in wet conditions. All moving parts are greased with SKF's water resistant bearing grease.The Nymph reel is narrow and has ultra large arbour for quick line retrieve. It has a full body rim preventing thin nymph lines slipping wrong places and causing jams. Brake has been modified for lighter tippets and is super smooth. It also has a 360-degree adjustment.

NYMPH & DRY Super narrow and super large arbour reel for modern nymph and dry fly fisherman. Thanks to the large arbour, you can quickly reel in the loose line for fighting the big ones. Weightwise this reel is designed to balance the longer, light line weight rods and it does it perfectly. The drag is made smoothness in mind and the maximum force wasn’t the key factor, therefore this is superb reel for thin tippets. Matt black appearance doesn’t scare the fish and it looks good on all rods.

KUST reel is based on the 7 8 XLV reel but it features the heraldic v-frame from bigger sizes. Silver colour with blue details fit nicely the Kust and Merisuola rods. This reel is equally home in lighter saltwater use too as it takes good amount of thin backing with a #7 weight Merisuola flyline.

STILLMANIACS in mind we designed this modern cassette reel to suit today’s stillwater fishing. The reel balances perfectly our Stillmaniac rods but in addition to these it is a great choice for your pike or single handed salmon rod, or for whatever fishing where you need several different types of lines.

The cassette has a quick change system so you only need to unscrew the locking ring for half a turn, and you can pull it out. It also has a solid area where you can write with a marker pen the line which you have on it.

The reel comes in a handy neoprene case with 3 cassettes and if you need more, they are available in moderately priced 2-packs.

MAMA has a proper disc brake package, a real largearbour design and an EVA handle which provides a solid grip even in wet conditions. All moving parts are greased with SKF's water resistant bearing grease.The Mama reel has a bold appearance with its red colour and black details. It fits perfectly all our pike & predator rods. The brake is powerfull enough for inshore saltwater use and it tames the northern predators with ease.

SWITCH ran through the anodizing line and came out grey with black details. The perfect colour combination for our Custom range rods. The Switch is the perfect choice for modern switch rods. With its capacity it takes basically any switch line, no matter if it is a full line or a shooting head system. The full body rim is there for the ones who like thin monofilament type running lines and it also adds strength to the reel for the moments when you fight big fish. The weight of the reel is matched to balance the Switch rods of 11’ – 12’6” in length perfectly. The Switch has a proper disc brake package, a real largearbour design and an EVA handle which provides a solid grip even in wet conditions. LOHI reel is a sturdier and heavier addition to XLV family. It’ll be the choice for rods longer than 13’ and its brake system is capable of handling all anadromous fish species. Thanks to its corrosion proof construction it is more affordable option for saltwater use too. There is enough capacity for heavy shooting head systems or 10 – 12 SW lines with loads of backing. The Lohi has a proper disc brake package, a real large-arbour design and an EVA handle which provides a solid grip even in wet conditions. All moving parts are greased with SKF's water resistant bearing grease.
