THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. SHOPPING ON SUNDAY Every Sunday afternoon most shops in the Hoogstraat and the Kloosterstraat are open. Every first Sunday of the month is Shopping Sunday in Antwerp. Most of the shops in the historic city centre are open, giving you the opportunity to shop till you drop in the following streets and neighbourhoods: De Keyserlei, Meir, Diamantwijk, Wilde Zee, Modebuurt, Hoogstraat, Kloosterstraat, Schuttershofstraat, Huidevettersstraat, Kammenstraat, Groenplaats en het Zuid. 05.04.15 limited opening (official holiday).

He also brought the first historical maps to the attention of the public. This exhibition presents a selection of these maps, along with some of the printed works used by Ortelius to reconstruct his maps.
