MARCH 2023 MARCH 2023

"If you have no winter, the spring would not be so important."

The March newsletter is dedicated to media – tv, gaming, social media, movies, and even books As your daughters are navigating the waters of media and connection through the use of media, it is important for us adults to remain as informed as possible I'm hopeful that the resources provided will assist you in best supporting your daughter Trust that conversations are taking place at school around these topics. We look forward to continuing to partner with parents during this exciting time of middle school!

MEDIA AWARENESS

Often while in conversation with our middle schoolers, the topic of media comes up They will share the movies/tv shows they are watching and the music they are listening to. Recently, I became aware of a show that was new to me –"GinnyandGeorgia" After some research into the show, I feel compelled to pass along information to you regarding the content Hopefully, this will prompt some conversations at home, as lots of our middle schoolers are processing topics from this show (and many others), such as selfharm, violence, sexuality, etc

Please click on the following links (Bark.ushttps://www bark us/blog/teenshows-not-for-teens-part-two/ and Common Sense Mediahttps://www commonsenseme dia.org/) for additional information on a variety of shows, movies, music, books, and more for teens
