DAIRY GOAT RULES

1. Dairy goats must be owned and in the possession of the exhibitor by June 1 of the current year. 2. Junior Fair Lactating Dairy Goats may be brought on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 by 4:00 p.m. and released when fi nished showing. This request must be stated on the livestock entry form to the Extension offi ce at the time of entry or exhibit premium will be forfeited. 3. ALL goats must be Scrapie tagged BEFORE they arrive at fair or the animal will be required to leave the grounds. 4. Participants must be able to provide original registration papers at weigh-in during fair. The Junior Fair member’s records must include the animal’s offi cial Scrapie ID and the name and address of the fl ock where the animal was born and where and when it was sold. (USDA) If participants do not supply this information at weigh-in, the animal may be asked to be removed from the grounds (USDA). 5. All exhibitors are required to participate in Livestock Skillathon, and attend Quality Assurance Training to participate in fair (see General Livestock Rules). Quality Assurance training is only required if exhibiting a lactating animal. 6. Dairy Goats may be shown horned or dehorned. 7. Read Department 7-General Livestock Rules.

PYGMY GOAT RULES

No bucks are permitted. Wethers must be castrated and healed by fair. 7. The entire pen must be lined with small enough wire so goats cannot get their heads through (ie: chicken wire). Exhibitor must provide, install and tear down wire. 8. Read Department 7-General Livestock Rules.
