Bristol

Bristol is well known for its digital and creative industries and is home to many internationally recognised companies such as Aardman Animations,

HP Labs and Strava.

The region is also at the heart of the South West Aerospace Cluster, the largest of its kind in the UK. This supports 98,000 jobs and has been valued at £7bn. Bath

Bath excels in the technology and innovation as well as the creative and

digital sectors. The city is home to the Centre for Digital Entertainment (CDE), where funded doctoral researchers from the University of Bath are placed with businesses involved in the games, animation, VFX, simulation and cultural industries.

The Centre for the Analysis of Motion, Entertainment Research & Applications (CAMERA), a £5 million RCUK-funded research centre is based at the University of Bath. CAMERA creates advanced motion tracking technologies for use in the entertainment industry, to enhance training and athlete performance and to help develop assistive technologies. Bath also has a reputation for elite sports internationally, with Bath University Sports Training Village hosting international teams in preparation for events in the UK. They also run an acclaimed programme – Team Bath. Key conferencing venues in Bath include the Apex City of Bath Hotel and the Doubletree by Hilton Bath. The city is an ideal location for the corporate market and executive board meetings too, with high-end venues such as the Gainsborough Hotel, Number 15 Great Pulteney and the Royal Crescent Hotel offering luxury private settings.
