The shores of Lake Superior have been home to native people for centuries. The City of Duluth and the surrounding region rests on the traditional Indigenous land of the Lake Superior Anishinaabe (Ojibwe) people. You’ll find special celebrations and attractions that preserve and celebrate native culture.

EXPERIENCE Attend a summer powwow, hosted by the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, that blends tribal tradition and modern hospitality. While there, visit the Fond du Lac Reservation Cultural Center & Museum.
