Kickingbird Golf experienced a two-year, $21 million renovation and expansion that has redefined the municipal facility beyond the traditional golf audience. Updates include a new irrigation system and 18 rebuilt greens with bentgrass. The course is the first in Oklahoma serviced by TrackMan Range, meaning golfers can log in through a mobile app and track shots on the driving range. Other state-of-the-art amenities include a covered and open driving range with a 57,000-square-foot hitting area, a 13,384-squarefoot clubhouse and a 144-seat special events center.
The Golf Club of Edmond challenges golfers with rolling hills, water features, mature trees, a double-ended grass driving range and upgraded practice facility. The club is equipped to host tournaments and offers food, drink and gathering space in the “Ranch House,” named in honor of the club being the former home of a cattle ranch. Both members and daily fee guests are welcome.
Arctic Edge Ice Arena
Watch hockey games and figure skating on two 200x85 ice rinks. Group admission (20+ skaters) is $8 per person. Public skate time is available daily. Children 8 and under are $13 and adults are $15 for 2 hours.
Blocworks Climbing in Downtown Edmond
Try indoor rock climbing and bouldering for all ability levels with cardio equipment and a patio. Day passes are $16. Earlybird rates are $10 on Tuesdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
CO-OP Esports and Gaming Arena
Find your game at this 5,700 square foot, multi-million dollar facility operated by the University of Central Oklahoma. General public pricing for PC Gaming starts at $7 per hour, virtual reality gaming at $7 per half hour and tabletop gaming is available for a daily pass of $7.
Edmond Center Court
Enjoy watching and playing tennis at this award-winning facility with 24 outdoor courts and six indoor courts. Cheer on professional players at national USTA tournaments or call 405-348-3120 to reserve a court ($20 for indoor and $12 for outdoor per hour).
Edmond Round Up Club
Cheer for cowboys and cowgirls at this home-town rodeo arena. Watch rough stock and timed events during fourteen rodeos held April through August/September for $5 each.
Edmond Schools Aquatic Center and YMCA at Mitch Park
The state-of-the-art YMCA recreation center has basketball courts, weight room, indoor track and indoor pool and waterslide. Day passes for visitors are $5 for children under 18 and $10 for adults. Watch swim meets at the competitive 50-meter swimming pool. It is one of two olympic-sized pools in Oklahoma.
Mathis Skate Park at Mitch Park
Skaters, rollerbladers and bikers can test their skills on 17,500 square feet of ramps, half pipes and bowls. Free for all!
Kickingbird Pickleball Center
Bring paddles and balls and choose from 12 outdoor and 12 indoor courts at no cost.
