Throughout the year you can experience the rarest of Manx traditions, which celebrates the beauty of our Islanders in song and culture. In May we welcome the return of summer with our Oie Voaldyn Fire Festival, a day of remembering and retelling old Manx and Norse customs. In July we have our national day, Tynwald Day, a day to celebrate our Island, community and parliament. The Yn Chruinnaght Celtic Festival in July unites cultures from all over the Celtic world with dancing and singing. October sees the celebration of Hop tu Naa, the oldest continuously-existing tradition in the Isle of Man and the Manx equivalent of Halloween – a celebration with songs, dancing, turnip lanterns and curious customs.

Birthplace to athletes and Olympians, the Island hosts a variety of sporting challenges that test your body and mind. The Parish Walk offers participants the opportunity to walk 85 miles around the Island’s parishes within 24-hours, whilst the Lighthouses Challenge encompasses 100 miles and over 2,000 metres of climbing for competitive cyclists.
