Visit West Wight Catch an FYT community bus to get around. FYT buses link up with ferry and mainstream bus routes providing you with a joined up service. The minibuses also carry a passenger assistant to help with bags and directions. Catch an FYT bus at a regular bus stop or hail us and they’ll stop for you.

10 On the buses! All ferry entry points link with our comprehensive Island bus network, making it super easy to visit on foot. All routes go via Newport making the whole Island easy to navigate by bus. From Hovertravel and Wightlink in Ryde routes 2,3,4,8 and 9 operate as well as the Island Line train service. From Wightlink in Fishbourne routes 4 and 9 operate. From Red Funnel in East Cowes routes 4 and 5 operate. From Red Funnel in Cowes route 1 operates and from Wightlink in Yarmouth route 7 operates.

The Isle of Wight bus and coach museum is a great place to visit with a wide display of historic buses and coaches spanning over 60 years.
Travel on the most picturesque route!

Our cycle friendly Island Coaster bus can take up to 6 bikes on board. The service runs from Ryde to Yarmouth hugging the Island’s south coast.
Take the no.12 bus from Newport - a beautiful route through pretty, quaint villages before heading out to the Island’s most famed Military Road. Hop out at Freshwater Bay and visit Dimbola Lodge, home of the celebrated Victorian photographer Julia Margaret Cameron. It is now a museum and gallery dedicated to her life and work.
You can reach the bus and coach museum by taking the no.2, 3 or 8 buses from Ryde station.
Hitch a ride with your bike The Island Coaster bus leaves Ryde 3 times a day and Yarmouth 4 times a day. Note: service runs from April to the end of August.
The no.12 operates from Newport Bus Station and takes under an hour to arrive at Freshwater.

Travel open top along breathtaking coastline Feel the wind in your hair by taking the Needles Breezer open top bus from Yarmouth bus station. The round trip stops off at Freshwater Bay and visits the iconic Needles landmark. Exhilarating and great fun! The Breezer bus leaves Yarmouth every 30 minutes and the round trip takes approximately 55 minutes. Note: service runs between 15th March and 1st November.

Experience the fresh air and great views from a Breezer The Downs Breezer bus will provide fabulous views of the eastern end of the Solent accompanied by an audio tour. Jump off and explore local villages. The Downs Breezer bus leaves Ryde every 30 minutes and the round trip lasts approximately 75 minutes. Note: services run from May to August.
