INTARS BUSULIS CONCERT “THE NEXT STOP” JUNE 17 TH AND 18TH, 20:00

The program of the concerts has been formed of the best, well known and beloved songs in Latvia and Russia of the last years, as well as songs from the upcoming album of Intars Busulis, that has been recorded here, in Latvia. The authors of music of the songs are Kārlis Lācis and Intars Busulis. The first single of the album – “Miglas rīts” (Morning of mist) became very favoured by the listeners and stayed at the peaks of music tops for several weeks.

FESTIVAL “SUMMERTIME. INESE GALANTE INVITES” August 9th – 13rd Traditionally invited by the excellent soprano Inese Galante, from 9th to 13th August artists of light classics, jazz, “neo swing”, world and academic music will meet in the festival. DZINTARI FOREST PARK AND ADVENTURE PARK “JŪRMALAS TARZĀNS” This is the place where all family can relax as in the forest park you can find playgrounds for kids, roller skating track, 36 meters high viewing tower and several cafes. In RullRoll rollerblade rental (www.fb.com/rullrollrent) one may rent scooters, roller skates, skateboards as well as mini segway and hoverboards, but in the adventure park “Jūrmalas Tarzāns” (www.tarzans.lv/jurmala), the obstacles placed in the trees can be overcome in five different tracks provided for both adults and children. ĶEMERI NATIONAL PARK GREAT ĶEMERI MOORLAND TRAIL

The great trail is the most popular object in Ķemeri National Park. It allows one to see intact high moss marsh, enjoy calmness and unique nature views. The length of the big circle is 3,4 km, small – 1,4 km.

BLACK ALDER SWAMP WOOD FOOTBRIDGE

The path begins at the park`s Information Centre “Meža māja” and is 600 meters long. The trail is suitable for families with children, at the beginning of the trail there is a playground. Not far away one can find the old Ķemeri health resort park with a hydrogen sulphide mineral water spring “Ķirzaciņa”, interesting buildings from the beginning of the last century, bridges and other environmental objects.

SLOKA LAKE NATURE TRAIL AND BIRD WATCHING TOWER

The trail, which is 3,1 km long along the bank of a lake rich in water birds runs through various types of wood. It starts and ends by the Sloka lake, where visitors are met by a parking lot, picnic site and 7 meters high floating watching tower. While strolling along the trail one can see several interesting objects – wet woods by river “Vēršupīte”, sulphur spring by Sloka lake, big rock and several swamp lakes. www.daba.gov.lv/kemeri

ROLLER SKATING HALL

This summer Majori sports hall will transform in the roller skating arena – a place, where one can breathe fresh air and escape the rain under the roof, as the hall is only partly closed. Skaters will be able to master the first skills as well as have a full-fledged roller skating practice. The hall will offer also renting services. JŪRMALA WATERSKI AND WAKEBOARD PARK

The competition will take place in two distances – 5 km and children’s` (500 m to 1 km), where one has to run in white clothes, and from time to time receive an impressive shower of paint – sea blue, summer yellow, bright orange and pink. The distances can be done running, dancing or just walking, Nordic walking and enjoying the atmosphere of the festival – just one rule must be observed, runners on the right, dancers and those who prefer walking – on the left side of the road. At the finishing part of the run, the participants will be granted a new Foam point that is a novelty in all colour runs of the world. Registration from 8:30. This year the stage of the Latvia rally championship “Rally Latvia” will take place in summer, when two of the race stages will take place in Jūrmala – one of them in Kemeri, but the other in Kauguri. This year Rally Latvia is included also in FIA Baltic Rally Trophy calendar, inviting to participate in the competition not only the local fastest rally crews, but also foreign participants from all Baltic Sea region. This year is important as there will be two racing class tests for retro cars – both in regular distance and sports distance.
