GIANT ADVENTURES

GIANT EXPERIENCES

Our Giant Adventures festivals take place in various locations across the region and highlight the mountains, coastline and our unique folklore. Giants play a role throughout Irish mythology, and this area hosts some of the most important locations from the tale of Fionn Mac Cumhaill, the most famous giant of them all. Visit Mourne is home to a giant spirit, and our varied calendar of festivals and events are no different.

Visit Mourne is filled with exciting experiences. Get out and conquer the challenges. This landscape has undergone an incredible journey. It was first laid down in the sediments of a vast, deep ocean. It drifted north, ever so slowly through countless millennia. Strange beasts roamed its hills. Volcanic activity tore it apart. Enormous ice sheets sculpted its mountains and valleys. The result is a landscape built for adventure. Plan your next family break or your latest adventure, our forests, mountains, and shores are home to some of the most unique day trips, excursions and experiences around.
