The ‘living floor’ is great fun to walk across too – you’ll love the bird’s eye view of the park.

Osprey Ferry What better way to take in the spectacular views of Kielder Water than on-board the Osprey Ferry? This 60-seater motor cruiser includes a shop, heated seating area, toilets and full commentary about this awe-inspiring part of the world.

Kielder Water Birds of Prey Centre Discover one of the largest and most fascinating collections of birds of prey in the north of England, including eagles, hawks, falcons, kestrels, vultures, owls, kites and goshawks. As well as the beautiful birds on display, you can enjoy thrilling demonstrations, hawk walks, hunting days and falconry courses. Stop by reception to find out more. Play Garden This fabulous garden, which is great for big kids and little kids alike, includes state-of-the-art play equipment, superb landscape design and brightly patterned tower structures for everyone to enjoy. Lakeside Way Leaplish Waterside Park is a great starting point to run, cycle or walk along the 26 miles of stunning native trails around Kielder Water’s shoreline.

Swimming Pool and Sauna Enjoy a dip in our heated swimming pool and unwind in our fabulous sauna. Further guidance on the use of these facilities can be found at the back of this pack. Wildlife Garden If you love nature, you’ll adore our wildlife garden with its raised pond, butterfly-shaped bed, drought garden and nest box where all sorts of adders, butterflies, stoats and amphibians live. Squirrel Hide Just ten minutes’ walk from Leaplish, the Beeches Walk gives you unparalleled views of the reservoir. As well as seeing a wide variety of birds and wildlife, our squirrel hide has the country’s largest residency of red squirrels to watch in their natural habitat. Mapping Mini GolF* With a 13-hole course spanning two eras of Kielder history, this is a challenging and interactive new way to play mini golf; perfect for all the family. **

LET SOMEONE ELSE DO THE COOKING What better way to unwind than by enjoying a mouthwatering meal at the Boat Inn, overlooking Kielder Water. This gastro style pub is open for lunch and dinner and is a great place to relax after spending the day outdoors. As well as delicious meals made from the finest local ingredients, guests can enjoy speciality coffee, local Wylam beer and beautiful panoramic views across the water. Equally tempting is the Café on the Water. Located just a stone’s throw from Leaplish at Tower Knowe, it prides itself on serving delicious bistro style food through until the early evening.
