ITINERARY First day: At 7.30 a.m. we travel from Iquitos to Nauta by car for 1.30 hours. We will get on our boat at 9.30 a.m. and navigate up stream through the Mara単on River where you will be able to have your first impressions of the Amazon observing the beautiful landscape. After two hours we will arrive to the Chiriyacu Lake. In this beautiful place we will be able to watch pink and grey dolphins, herons and other birds. We can also fish and swim in the lake. We will have our lunch box here. At 12.30 p.m. we will continue our trip to our lodge. We will arrive to the lodge at 3.00 p.m. At that time we will accommodate in our respective rooms, take a shower and relax. You can also walk around our land plot and watch a variety of beautiful birds. Canoeing activity at 5.00 p.m. Dinner is served at 7.30 p.m. After dinner we will visit the village of San Regis to experience a traditional night in a village of the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest. Activities of the first day end at 9.30 p.m. and then you can enjoy the sounds of the jungle from your comfortable bed. Second day: Breakfast is served at 8.00 a.m.
At 9.00 a.m. we will take our boat and navigate for one hour until we reach the surveillance post number 1 (PV1) of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, at Santo Domingo in the Yanayacu Pucate River; where we will proceed with the respective control and registration with the reserve rangers. After we fulfill the formalities we will navigate for 20 minutes until we arrive to the community 20 de Enero. In this community we will be able to see the Aguaje palm tree process being held by the community along with a French NGO to export this Amazonian fruit in a sustainable way. At 12.30 a.m. we will continue navigating until we arrive to a lake where we will be able to watch dolphins and birds as herons, egrets, hoatzins and horned screamers. After our activities in this lake we will go to the community of Arequipa where we will arrange things to stay overnight with a local family. Lunch will be served at 3.30 p.m. After lunch we will look for sloths and monkeys. At 5.30 p.m. we will go to Japan creek to watch dolphins at sunset. We can swim nearby. When it gets dark we will look for alligators. Activities of the second day end at 9.30 p.m. (In case you don’t want to stay overnight at the community or camp, it is possible to return to the lodge navigating at night. In this case, the next morning activity is replaced with a hike in the jungle). Third day: Breakfast is served at 8.00 a.m. At 9.00 a.m. we will begin the return to our lodge. In our way back we will look for monkeys and sloths in the surrounding jungle. We will arrive to our lodge at midday and after a relaxing shower we will proceed to have lunch. After lunch we will return to Nauta city to take our transport to return to Iquitos. End of service. RATES: USD 100 per day, per passenger based on double occupancy. INCLUDED: Full board, tickets to the reserve and activities. Return transport from Iquitos is provided. NOT INCLUDED: Airline tickets. RECOMENDATIONS: Please, reserve at least 3 days in advance of arrival date. PAYMENT METHODS: Bank transfers within Peru, Paypal E-mail Payments (major credit card are accepted) and transfers by Western Union. CANCELLATION POLICY Cancelations one month before the beginning of any program will be refunded 80% of the total price if full payment has been made. Cancelations one week before of the beginning of any program will be refunded 50% of the total price if full payment has been made. Cancellations a day before or on the same day of the program are not refunded.
