Wear cotton clothing, sports shoes, cap, sunscreen, repellent, and sunglasses.

You might be asked to show your identity document to enter tourist places and/or establishments.

Remember to carry an umbrella or a raincoat.

When registering your visit with Customs and Migration The only authorized checkpoints are in Santa Rosa (border with Brazil and Colombia), Pantoja (border with Ecuador) and at the Coronel FAP Francisco Secada Vignetta International Airport (Iquitos). The Border Control Posts (PCF, in Spanish) are open from Monday to Sunday from 8:00 to 17:00, and at the airport during international flight times.

If you are traveling with minors, remember to bring their respective IDs and permits to register their entry or exit from the country.

When hiring tourist services Check the list of authorized travel and tourism agencies in IPERÚ Iquitos.

Avoid hiring services that are offered out loud outside land or air transport terminals or in the street. Get information from more than one formal company before hiring a service. Visit their offices and request details in writing of the terms of service and cancellation policies. When buying products or contracting a service, request the corresponding payment receipt.

In case of non-compliance To file a complaint, request the Complaints Book. You can also request assistance from IPERÚ or the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property (INDECOPI). Keep in mind that tourist services with very low costs do not guarantee good service.
