PITTSBURGH WELCOME TO

If you’re holding this See & Do guide, congratulations on visiting Pittsburgh during an action-packed summer 2023 lineup of events and festivals. There’s no better time to experience our city of multitudes than when our biggest festivals and events of the year are taking place, accompanied by endless attractions available year-round to pack your itinerary with.

The most common thing we hear from summer visitors is their surprise at just how green Pittsburgh is! There are plenty of ways to experience our amazing outdoors from biking and hiking riverside trails to kayaking and standup paddleboarding our iconic three rivers. With 90 unique neighborhoods, adventurous terrain and welcoming people, it’s easy to experience what makes our city beautiful just by walking straight out of your hotel and into the city.

Need a few ideas to get your summer visit started? Take a ride on our stunning Inclines for some of the most Instagrammable views of the city, cheer on Pittsburgh sports teams at picturesque stadiums with a view or head to an outdoor patio as you sip local brews at one of more than 50 Pittsburgh craft breweries.

Once you’re ready to head inside, the fun doesn’t stop!

Head to our Cultural District for 14 square blocks of art and live performances from the biggest musicals to intimate magic and comedy shows, all housed in historic theatres and galleries. Awardwinning art, science and space museums are perfect for families to explore, and our ever-expanding food scene will please even the pickiest palates with choices from Pittsburgh pierogies and pickles to pulled pork and pad thai.

No matter why you’re visiting Pittsburgh, we hope that you’ll fall in love with this city for the same reasons we did, and we’re excited to share these experiences with you. See you soon!
