Rules of the Road SC BICYCLE LAWS - ARTICLE 27 1. Bicycles are vehicles and all laws that apply to motorists also apply to cyclists. 2. Ride in a bicycle lane, if available, except when passing another cyclist or to avoid obstruction in bicycle lane. 3. Ride in the right-most lane on roadways, except when making a left turn. 4. A permanent and regular seat must be attached to the bike. 5. All bicycles must be equipped with a working brake. 6. Riders can’t exceed the number of seats. 7. Do not hold on to a moving vehicle. 8. Do not carry anything that keeps you from keeping one hand on the handle bars at one time. 9. Use a white head light and a rear red reflector/blinking light after dark. 10. Always use hand signals before changing lanes and turning. 11. Riding on sidewalks in Downtown Rock Hill is prohibited. TIP: Always wear a helmet!
