"Velocity Arrived at the Right Moment"
Intensive Training in Colombia
Venezuela has taken on a Regional Manager.
Some of the most recent training sessions taking place in Medellín have included TDD, Scrum in Depth and Scrum Practice, Live Coding React JS and Game Development in JS.
Nelson Longa has just assumed his role with the company, which is beginning operations from the Torre Europa on Avenida Miranda, situated in central Caracas. He recalls that in his first job interview, he noticed that his interviewers were as interested in getting to know him as a person as they were in learning about him as a professional. This was because his resume spoke for itself. Nelson has come from IBM, where he worked for many years and held various responsibilities; including the direction of groups of personnel and project management for critical services. "I wanted to find a job in which I could have a global vision of the business and be able to develop strategies. Velocity arrived at the right moment," said the manager. His enthusiasm goes beyond the work related to his profession. Nelson is also a volunteer for an NGO dedicated to helping children with cancer. Its name is "Tapas por vida”. “I hope to lead groups in which the work of every individual counts. I believe that human capital is one of the most important things that we can have”, he concluded.

There is growing interest from our colleagues in acquiring new skills and knowledge sharing. A recent training session was organized under the title “TDD: Design Guided by Acceptance Tests”. The session was directed by an external trainer, who provided theoretical instructions and then helped to put into practice what had been learned.
Subtitle Example Training on Scrum in Depth and Scrum Practice also took place and was directed by our internal trainer Adrián Moya, who dealt with subjects such as Essence of Scrum, The Scrum Team and Scrum Artifacts. “We had a number of sessions to touch on methodological topics and then complemented those with practical sessions during which we implemented the new knowledge”, said Adrián. Johnny Gamba to a large number of attendees who displayed a great interest in this type of technology, which is going from strength to strength and is needed by our clients!
