Travelling by land gives you the unique opportunity to truly see how different cultures live and exist in a world far different from our own. It allows us not only to visit the main tourist sites but also the more remote, off-the-beaten track areas that are less visited yet equally impressive. By using our own vehicle we have less time constraints and more freedom to explore at leisure.

Day 1 Caracas Arrival in Venezuela and spend the night by the seaside. Day 2 Caracas - Caniama Fly from Caracas to Canaima and transfer to Canaima Venutur Lodge. Navigate on the lagoon with a typical indian-style dugout canoe and visit the Sapo falls which are a magnificent sight to behold; 100 metres wide with a 45 metre drop. The massive amount of water is awe inspiring and you can actually experience walking behind the curtain of water. This is, to say the least, a unique and unforgettable opportunity. Day 3 Caniama Enjoy a full day excursion to Angel Falls. Travel up

Viva Expeditions Booking Conditions Please carefully read these booking conditions. In completing and submitting the booking form, you agree to be bound by these conditions which form an agreement between Viva Expeditions Ltd and you. BOOKING & DEPOSIT: To make a booking you must complete the booking form and pay the required deposit. This deposit is nonrefundable unless Viva Expeditions is unable to offer you a place. Required Deposits: Expeditions 14 Days or less - NZD$500, AUD$450, GBP£200, EURO€250, USD$400 Expeditions 15 Days or more – NZD$1000, AUD$900, GBP£400, EURO€500, USD$800 Galapagos Packages – 25 - 35% of tour cost. Specialty Tours, Independent Adventures, Custom Made Packages, Tour Add-ons & Extensions vary depending on the package – this will be advised by Viva Expeditions prior to booking (minimum deposit 20%). Receipt of a non-refundable deposit from you is deemed evidence you have read and accepted these Booking Conditions. BALANCE OF PAYMENT: The balance of all monies due, including any surcharges applicable at the time must be paid no later than 65 days prior to departure. Failure to pay in full by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking and forfeit of your deposit. SURCHARGES: Tour prices are based on ground costs, fuel costs, exchange rates and assumptions made at the time of setting seasonal prices. While we do our utmost not to increase tour prices sometimes increases are outside our control. Viva Expeditions has the right to amend tour prices without notice at any time before departure. Increases may be necessary, but not limited to, exchange rate fluctuations, increased fuel costs, increased ground operator service fees or the need to engage alternative arrangement. Any increase in tour prices must be paid prior to the departure date. If paying by credit card, surcharges may apply. Credit Card Payments: Surcharges may apply. We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties CANCELLATIONS: Cancellation by you - If you wish to cancel your travel arrangements with us you must notify Viva Expeditions Ltd in writing. Once Viva Expeditions Ltd receives your notice, cancellation will be subject to the following: More than 65 days prior to departure - forfeit of deposit 65 - 50 days prior to departure – 25% of total cost or forfeit of deposit, whichever is greater Within 50 Days – 50% of total cost Within 35 days of departure - 100% of total cost Cancellations by us – In the unlikely event of Viva Expeditions cancelling a tour before departure, all trip costs paid to Viva Expeditions will be refunded in full. This will be the full extent of Viva Expeditions liability. AMMENDMENTS: Amendments by you – A booking is made in the name of the client and is not transferable to another person. Amendment fees are as follows: Amendments made more than 65 days prior to departure - NZD$100, AUD$80, GBP£50, EURO€75, USD$80 (plus additional Inca trail deposit if applicable) Amendments made within 65 days of departure – as per cancellation policy: 65 - 50 days prior to departure – 25% of total cost or forfeit of deposit, whichever is greater Within 50 Days – 50% of total cost Within 35 days of departure - 100% of total cost All amendments must be made in writing to Viva Expeditions and must be accompanied by the amendment fees per booking and in addition to the cost of any extra services required. Whilst every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate changes and additional requests their availability cannot be guaranteed. Amendments by Us – Viva Expeditions reserves the right to

modify a tour itinerary or its contents due to prevailing local conditions where it may be deemed to affect the safety or well being of the tour members or the satisfactory progress of the tour. Environment - The clients accepts that due to the nature of the countries visited, all expeditions offer an element of personal risk and are of a potentially hazardous and unpredictable nature. In many countries basic infrastructure, such as roads, can be of very poor condition. This includes lack of road marking and warning signs, unmarked speed bumps and seasonal flooding. The client accepts that these factors are beyond the control of Viva Expeditions. Force Majeure: Viva Expeditions accepts no responsibility for matters arising out of acts of God, strikes, trade disputes, fire, breakdowns, interruption of transport, government or political action, acts of war or terrorism, acts of omissions of a third party or for any other cause whatsoever outside Viva Expeditions reasonable control. Should it be necessary to cancel a tour Viva Expeditions will be entitled to retain such monies received necessary to cover costs incurred. Any excess will be refunded. GUARANTEED DEPARTURES & MINIMUM NUMBERS: Viva Expeditions sets its own minimum numbers based on logistics and guarantees to operate once a minimum numbers have been achieved as follow: Overland Expeditions – 6 passengers Galapagos, Independent Adventures, Custom Tours, Add-ons & Specialty Tours – varies according to individual supplier’s terms & conditions. PARTICIPATION: Health and Fitness All clients must satisfy themselves prior to booking that they are fit and able to complete the itinerary of their chosen tour. The journeys are suitable for most travellers of average fitness and mobility. Travellers will be expected on occasions to carry their own luggage for short distances. Medical Disclosure – You declare and warrant that: You are in good health and mental and physical fitness at the time of booking this tour You have disclosed to Viva Expeditions every matter concerning your health and mental and physical fitness of which you are aware, or should reasonably be expected to know, that is relevant to the Viva Expeditions decision to permit you to go on the tour. Immediately upon any adverse change in your health or fitness that may be relevant to Viva Expeditions decision to accept you on the tour, you will notify Viva Expeditions in writing of any such adverse change. Code of Conduct – Viva Expeditions and its staff reserve the right to remove clients from our tours for reasons that impact on the enjoyment or safety of other tour members, such as, but not limited to the physical, medical or mental ability to undertake the arrangements of the tour, unsocial or unruly behaviour or the carriage of prohibited substances or materials. In such circumstances the client will receive no refund of trip price and all responsibility or liability that Viva Expeditions owes to the client will immediately cease. Compliance – The client agrees to comply with the laws and regulations, whether is respect to health, immigration, exchange control or any other matter of all the countries visited during the tour. Travel Insurance – Travel insurance is mandatory for all clients while travelling on an expedition organised by Viva Expeditions. Clients are wholly responsible for arranging their own travel insurance. Insurance should cover personal accident and medical expenses, evacuation, and repatriation, baggage loss, and cancellation or curtailment of holiday for the full duration of the tour. We recommend clients purchase travel insurance at the time of booking the tour. Clients must ensure that there are no exclusion clauses limiting protection for the type of activities in their tour. Clients must provide this information with a copy of their policy including emergency contact number and policy number to their tour leader on day 1 of the expedition. Failure to do so may result in clients not being able to join the trip. Travel insurance for those travelling on customised individual tours in not mandatory, unless advised otherwise by Viva Expeditions or our suppliers, but is highly recommended at all times.

Visas, Passports & Vaccinations – It is the responsibility of the client to be in possession of a valid passport, visa permits, vaccinations and preventative medicines as may be required for the duration of the tour. Information about these matters is given in good faith but without responsibility on the part of Viva Expeditions. WILLING TO SHARE, SINGLE SUPPLEMENT & TRIPLE SHARE ON GROUP EXPEDITIONS: Single travellers may avoid paying the single supplement by opting to travel on a “willing to share” basis on our overland expeditions. If we are unable to match a “willing to share” client with another “willing to share” client of the same sex we will confirm a single room at the twin share price. Clients wishing to guarantee a single room throughout the tour should pay the single supplement. This will guarantee you a single hotel room throughout the tour, however is not guaranteed for the camping component of the tour and is subject to availability. While it is not possible to guarantee triple rooms at all hotels on our group journeys we will provide a triple share room whenever possible through out the journey. When unavailable a twin/double plus a “willing to share” room will be provided. CHILDREN: The minimum age to participate in one of our group journeys is 10 years. Clients aged 10 - 17 must travel accompanied by an adult and may not travel on a “willing to share” basis. AIR ARRANGEMENTS: You understand that at no time are you entering in to a contract with us for the supply of air travel and you must not claim against us in the regard. OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES: Clients accept that the prices quoted for any optional activities are only approximate and often change. Any of the optional activities listed or available throughout the tour are not necessarily endorsed or recommended by Viva Expeditions. Clients also accept that they undertake any activity at their own risk and their participation is their own decision and does not form any part of their contract with Viva Expeditions. Viva Expeditions does not take responsibility for cancellations, unreliability of services or safety of operators, agents or contractors. COMPLAINTS: If a client has a complaint about any of the tour arrangements the client must bring it to the attention of the tour leader or other representative of Viva Expeditions at the time so the may endeavour to rectify the situation. It is only if Viva Expeditions is made aware of any problems that there will be the opportunity to put things right. Failure to complain on the spot will result in the client’s ability to claim compensation from Viva Expeditions being extinguished or at the least reduced. Should the problem remain unsolved a complaint must be made in writing to Viva Expeditions within 28 days of the completion of the tour or all claims for compensation will be forfeit. LIABILITY DISCLAIMER: Based on Viva Expeditions accepting your booking application and in you being permitted by Viva Expeditions to join the tour you release Viva Expeditions and its Employees (officers, employees, agents, licensees, guides and other representatives and the operating authorities in countries in which the tour is conducted) from all cost, liability, loss or damage incurred or suffered by you directly or indirectly during the course of the tour and resulting from your personal injury, illness, death or damage to or loss of your property, unless caused by the wilful negligence or wrongful act of Viva Expeditions or its Employees. In addition you waive any claims you have, or may have at any time, against Viva Expeditions and its Employees and you agree, by accepting the additional inherent risks and hazards associated with the tour, not to make any claims against or seek any compensation from Viva Expeditions or its employees in respect of any personal injury, illness or death suffered by you or damage to or loss of the property sustained by you as a result of your participation in the tour.
