BACKGROUND - THEME The concept of space and aesthetics is as familiar to humans as the concept of shelter in all recorded history. Most of us have a vision or you may call it a dream home, the perfect abode for you and your family to live in. That perfect space you had been dreaming of, that perfect setting you just like to imagine every time you sit in your house. But how many of us do really see that dream materialise? This question doesn`t really garner an optimistic answer to say the least. Now, that is a result of many factors but the most prominent ones are the either lack of finances or lack of design literacy on the very basic level. Elaborating further on this, lack of finances mean lesser material choices available, budget becomes a roadblock even if the person wishes to get professional help. This situations exposes a void between the user and the professional and the question here to ask is, Can good be made affordable? Now regarding the lack of design literacy, be it something supposedly as trivial as the wall color or a piece of furniture, most of us just pay heed to the visual aspect and just keep suffering the intangible effects of it for years even without realising it. This arises the opportunity and need for an imperative inter-vention of a professional, Which in turn opens up a new set of opportunities for new talent.
