INTRODUCTION
The Elements of Spacemaking talks about the various structural elements and their attributes.
Each element has its own spacial attributes which can contibute to different principles of
design.
The book breaks down the contents of Yatin Pandya’s THE ELEMENTS OF SPACEMAKING into
simpler terms. By the end of the book you will understand that a structural element like roofs,
walls, doors, windows, columns, stairs and floors cannot be limited to one purpose.
This review can change the preset notions that these structural elements can be applied for a
single purpose. This was done as part of an academic exercise and intended to unveil different aspects of architecture learning for Second year students of Architecture at Marian College of Architecture and Planning, Trivandrum.
