A message from the curator Passion and inspiration have been the catalysts for the most precious works of art throughout history; we all cherish the legacies left behind by masters we admire, and we look back to their creations and dedication with awe. They consolidated the links existing between each other, developed new relationships, sought out new inspirations and pictorial means and began movements that shaped the history of art as we now know it. Except for those who had a comfortable financial situation, many of them faced periods of bitter poverty; they painted in the open air, researching the optical phenomena of light and color which enamored them, and rustically developed techniques for the creation of high quality materials that would become the creative elements of their masterpieces. There is so much left for us - the artists of today - to learn from. We are now in a whole new era, the time of information and technology. Computer use has changed the way most people do business, including those in the art field. Artists, animators, photographers and filmmakers use computers to create their art, as well as implementing the resources for much more. With the advent of computer technology came the ability to preserve artworks in digital format, as well as speeding up art distribution and professional promotion via the world-wide web. The wonder of the internet and the magic of social media have been my allies as a curator - to discover and follow a group of fantastic artists whose careers I have seen emerge and whose techniques have developed to a master level. The group of artists we are presenting in this catalog will be taking part in and helping to shape the art history of our generation. We will be presenting to you a variety of artistic excellence, from paintings, mixed media works to sculptures and oil paintings reflecting a diverse and wide spectrum of media and techniques. To harness the flexibility and power of these rapidly evolving creative systems, there is a need for radically new foundational ideas and principles. There is a need to develop effective principles for building and analyzing such systems, along with the necessity to open up our minds and explore beyond what we have traditionally recognized as art. The artist of today is the perfect creator the one I see with awe and admiration and the one creating a new legacy for the generation of tomorrow. No limitations, no competition, no need to be better than the other, but just the need to be - no need to overachieve, just a need to create - no need to sacrifice, just the need to enjoy the process. The artists of today are versatile, using everything and anything that comes to mind or to their hands that triggers the fountain of their inspiration: a lot of times even using recycled materials or choosing specific subjects to convey a message that would serve as a contribution to better our society, to improve the environment and the world we all live in. Above all, we are mysteriously connected to a whole, like light bulbs that are all plugged in to a single source of energy and emanate different colors of light. If you go deep and explore, you will find a unique message - a song that is sang in unison.

Aldo Basili Italy Until today he covered all the different areas of photography, from the black&white to the colour technique, from Http://www.aldobasili.eu the coverage to the artistic photography, always searching in every image the artistic and creative potential that are in the picture itself. Therefore it happens that pictures of common people shot in their quotidian acts show themselves as funny or ironic. Also it happens that a urban landscape via
the in-shooting elaboration reveals itself perfect as a surrealistic paint. Also it happens that the colours of the Nature via the digital imaging processing become as shapes. I believe this to be the unitary feature of his works and what he wants to pursue: the quest of what every single image can become through the artistic act, the looking for the art that can be showed and revealed through the shoot and in the in-shooting elaboration or in the post-production processing, the search of the photographic interpretation of abstract concepts.

Alessandro Vignali Italy Alessandro Vignali says that when the real world becomes suffocating, painting is Www.vividartsnetwork.net the escape route personnel to other shores. In his large canvases you can read wars, devastating machines and intrusive, urban intolerant and intolerable, human relations impossible. Conflicts virtual, free uniforms bloodstained friend or foe, of mangled bodies, representing the dialectical clashes, struggles against invisible enemies, the fear of being

dominated and the desire to dominate, that each of us live every day. The escape betrayal, by the unlawful conduct, by bullying is representation in spacecraft, the Viking boats or trains the mind. The artistic language of Alessandro Vignali recalls the gestural painting and figurative expressionism and Neofuturism. The traits are determined, as well as colors, there is no room for doubt or for reconsideration. Everything runs as fast as in a large stream that overwhelms when the artist creates his works, as well as the observer.
Alex Slingenberg Netherlands “My passion for art and wildlife in particular has come from many sources and influences Http://www.natureartists.com/ it is an on going journey alex_slingenberg.asp of self discovery a joyful learning process that fires and feeds my soul, and that which I hope to share with others.” Nature, beauty and art have always been part of Alex's life. As a child she traveled throughout the Far East Middle-America and the U.S. with her Diplomat parents, who were also avid art collectors. Surrounded by the lush vegetation of the tropics with its bright colored wildlife combined with the exquisite antiques her parents collected, beauty was everywhere. China, Thailand, The USA and Mexico, the different cultures and native wildlife instilled in her

a love of al things beautiful and a strong desire to express her self creatively. As a child she drew instinctively and later won prizes in school competitions with her natural talent. All this made an indelible impression upon her mind, thus shaping the future artist. Trained initially as a Goldsmith, she graduated as a Designer Craftsman in the UK, and then moved on to work as a photography stylist. Native American culture and art captivated her to the extent that it became a serious interest and subject of study. Silk being her favorite fabric, she started researching ways to paint on it and soon developed her own formula, medium and technique to suit that specific textile. From there on, she started experimenting with painting on leather.

Through my works I want to get the audience excited about Art, evoke feelings and new Http://annathoughts, bring old duyunova.artistwebsites.com memories and dreams, and show my passion. My passion is to draw with pen and ink. I found the philosophy of life in this black and while unity. Sometimes I feel a need for color, and I add to my black and while compositions some burst of colours. It brings a lot of new and fresh themes, and gives me the new opportunities to express my feelings and thoughfs. I like to play with lines, watch them to float and create the new images. My other passion is painting with acrylic. Regardless of ihe motive, acrylic paint portrays a symphony of color - it is a real treat and celebration of colours! I like the special brightness and flexibility of acrylic paint, with endless possibilities for experimentations. Sometimes I like to paint all prima, and apply the first impression, the fleeting visions of reality. For This reason I like to work with watercolour paint and draw with watercolour pencils as well. My Art comes from the heart. It is my personal experience and dream world, my escape from triviality, and power to speak about lyric and dramatic poetry of life. For me Art is not an imitation of nature, and in my works I like lo show the beauty of the ordinary things. I create works with combination of reality and wonderland, painting landscapes and portraits with mystery realism. I draw fantasy and allegory compositions, showing the enhancement of nature. I get inspired by the music, nature, travel impressions, and some memories and observations. In years I developed my own artistic style based on the traditions of some European and Asian artistic
Divisions, like Synthetism, with its usage of vivid colours and some simplications of forms. I exhibited in Canada, USA, Italy, France, Russia, and Kazakhstan. My resent Solo Exhibition is “Wonderful Promenade” in Gallery Monteoliveto, Nice, France during the Nice Carnival 2012 year. My art works can be found in many, mostly private collections around the world, and many online galleries.

Bibbi Ahrnstedt Sweden Bibbi Ahrnstedt lives in Stockholm, Sweden "Ever since I was a www.glassfusing.nu child, I have been interested in space. Planets and galaxies captured my imagination early on, especially the fact that we are made up of the same material as they are. The origin of life is fascinating and I find inspiration for my art in a variety of areas such as early history, mythology, nature and the universe. Life is incredibly complex and beautiful. There is geometry in everything, both large and small. I am lucky to have been born this century, when so much is known and discovered. Inquisitiveness plays a large role in my art. The desire to express myself has led me to make the transition from

pottery to working with glass. Glass is such a wonderful medium, full of possibilities, and has given me new dimensions for expressing the wonders that I see around me. We live in the space age. We are in the middle of an adventure. For the first time, we have the means to explore our wonderful universe. Through my work, I want to show that there is more to life than the daily chores. I hope to call attention to what there might be out in space, and make everyone understand that we are a small but active part of something vast. My recent art works in glass are expressions of the intricate and fascinating patterns of DNA spirals and atoms. The complexity of nature, space and our own ancient history is expressed in my works, as I delve into the secrets of the microand macrocosmos."

Leroi Johnson USA LeRoi Callwell Johnson of Buffalo, New York has been presenting his artistry for more than 45 years, utilizing his varied Www.leroicallwelljohnson.com thematic tones to craft consistently eyecatching and aesthetically pleasant art forms. As Mr. Johnson defines his artistic expression as “electric primitive”, his awareness is rooted in the very minimal formal training that he received in a commercial art class while matriculating in the academically oriented Hutchinson Central Technical High School in Buffalo, New York. His interest in drawing and painting was nurtured during his student years, as he oftentimes utilized this hobby as an outlet for balancing his career aspirations at the time. While at Georgetown University Law School in Washington, D.C., it appears that his amateurish instinct culminated into the seeds of his prolific expressionism, having created several innovative geometric paintings during the height of this form’s popularity. Similarly, a large portion of this artwork would be represented in his first major one-man show in the future. In 1994, LeRoi returned to painting utilizing a form, which blended modernism, pan-africanism, and geometric forms in colorful symbolism. In 1996, LeRoi officially re-introduced his art to the public with the informality of it being showcased in a hair salon owned by his close friend and mentor, Jon Simon. By virtue of the popularity of this salon, LeRoi enjoyed great exposure and receptiveness during this display. One of the salon patrons was Don Metz, then, Director of the Burchfield Penney Art Gallery in Buffalo, a relatively new and growing museum which focused 42
on Western New York artists, with its namesake, Charles Burchfield being instrumental in its development. With Mr. Metz’s leadership, Mr. Johnson’s first One-Man Show was exhibited at Buffalo Niagara Partnership, a first art show for both

“In my art,” says Mark Tomczak, “I always try to leave room for the viewer’s imagination to run free,” and certainly his paintings vividly embody that freedom. Sung Eun Park South Korea “I find that the only path to my fullest expression of the nature of life can only be expressed in the Http://domenuse0905@yahoo.com immaculate brush strokes used in the creation of painting birds. The nature of these fascinating creatures is found in their true beauty in that they are constantly moving; their movements are never shy nor are they temperamental. and although all types of birds possess this characteristic, I have found the most passion in expressing my feelings through the specialization of the heron, crane and the goose. Communication is our way of life, but it does not always have to be related to verbal communication. These birds, through their boastful snaps in their wings, communicate power and energy that I emulate onto a canvas. This communication ability, which these majestic creatures have conveyed to me, is the message that I want my viewers to feel and experience when capturing the essence of my paintings.”

Each painting to me, is a record of an extraordinary moment of existence, a c o n fi r m a t i o n i n t h e reality of the journey of the spirit.
Always cognizant of the tenuous balance necessary for the painting’s evolution, I yield to a greater force. It is within this state of thoughtless awareness I find I am able to connect on a level that I cannot verbalize. I believe that through the language of art, and the employment of color we are able to communicate on the highest vibrational level.
