Water purifiers and water filters are extremely important in the ongoing battle against water scarcity aroudn the world. Operating under its parent company, Vestergaard, LifeStraw is an innovative leader in the global war against water pollution around the world. In 1994, LifeStraw developed its first water filter to combat worm larvae from contaminated water in Guinea. They designed a cloth filter that set the foundation for the efficient filter that they are known for today. The product contributed to the eradication of the water scarcity crisis worldwide. LifeStraw operates according to a humanitarian business model, where doing good is good business. The company devotes its entire innovative platform towards producing breakthrough solutions for a cleaner planet. LifeStraw believes that everyone should have equal opportunities to safe drinking water. As a result, LifeStraw dedicated its resources into developing more innovative products that can be used in a variety of situations to further achieve their mission of battling water scarcity. In 2005, LifeStraw introduced its first line of commercial products; providing users sustainable options for cleaner water. Initially developed for relief work and humanitarian purposes, LifeStraw has built an empire with their filter by providing game-changing solutions to contribute to a healthier and more sustainable Earth.
