It avoids the phenomenon of stagnation in the solar collectors
The electric roller shutter is the ideal solution to automatically avoid the phenomenon of stagnation on solar collectors. It is indicated in the seasonal DHW production systems in those in addition to heating. Made of durable aluminum slats, dark solar collector solar by irradiation before the beginning of the phenomenon of stagnation. Controlled by adjustable thermostat to integrate on board of the buffer tank. 230V

Example of application on an in-roof collector.
During normal operation of the solar system, the shutter is wound without interference. When the buffer tank reaches the operating temperature, the solar collector can no longer give its energy to it, therefore, inevitably raises the temperature inside to reach stagnation.
Electric roller shutter
With electric roller shutter is possible to avoid stagnation, in fact once the operating temperature is reached, an adjustable thermostat automatically handles the darkening of the solar collector. Once it consumes DHW and temperature of the buffer tank drops, the shutter reopens allowing automatically the restarting of the system.

Evacuated tube solar collectors
In order to reduce heat losses typical of a solar collector and improve the efficiency, in the evacuated tube collectors between the covering glass and the absorber plate the “vacuum” is realized. The evacuated tube collectors consist of a series of glass tubes in which the absorber plate is housed. Vacuum is created in order to completely eliminate heat losses by convection, because the vacuum is the best insulator. Solar collectors CSS012 and CSS018 are supplied with CPC mirror in order to increase their efficiency. Specific for places with less sunlight and to have productivity in winter seasons.

BUFFER TANK WITH 10 YEARS WARRANTY
Fresh Water is the new buffer tank for the production of domestic hot water, combined with solar thermal systems. Different from traditional vitrified double coil buffer tanks, this one allows flexibility and multiple system solutions with low costs. You can find here below some examples of the big advantages of this buffer tank compared to traditional systems of DHW production: a) possibility of heating integration; b) possibility of using solar energy in case of low consumption of DHW, in particular for houses where the use is intermittent or occasional; c) higher resistance to stored water, because using only technical water as energy accumulator it is not aggressive on the buffer tank walls; d) no limestone problems, that avoid also risks regarding reduction of power exchange of the coils; e) possibility of direct connection to the heat pump without limitations related to surface or power exchange; f) Instantaneous DHW production system avoids bacteria proliferation in the stored water; furthermore the system of solar thermal drops allows a correct management of the stratification in the buffer tank, related to the solar source; The buffer tank is ready for use, pre-mounted and cabled during the manufacturing operating . It is composed of:
BUFFER TANK FOR Domestic WATER PREPARATION THAT INTEGRATES HEATING TOO! DIRECT CONNECTION TO THE HEAT PUMPS
- Mono coil buffer tank including thermal insulation and junctions for the connection to the solar collectors, boiler or heat pump, heating integration, DHW production; - 3 bar security valve for buffer tank, equipped with manometer and junction for expansion tank; - Solar circulation station equipped with circulator, security valve, flow adjuster, junctions for the charging of the system; - Instantaneous DHW production system with pump speed control, based on flow and temperature requirement; - One controller (for solar and Fresh Water) that can be used as thermostat for the starting boiler/ heat pump or as by-pass management of the instantaneous boiler, equipped with PT1000 probes. BETTER EFFICIENCY AND STRATIFICATION OF SOLAR ENERGY WITH EXTERNAL EXCHANGERS For medium/ big consumptions, where the withdrawals are frequent during the day, it is recommended to have a solar system that allows the production of ready-for-use DHW (external exchangers) instead of systems that produce, at first, only warm water (internal coils). With the external exchangers kits pre-mounted on board of the buffer tanks and thanks to a device that allows the speed control of the domestic pump, it is possible:

• To optimize the thermal exchange in the plate heat exchangers following the increasing/ decreasing of solar irradiation;
• To improve the stratification in the buffer tanks, that allows to have ready-for-use energy since the first rays of light.
VITRIFIED BUFFER TANK
OPTIMIZE OF THE THERMAL EXCHANGE The charging of solar energy in the buffer tank takes place in the highest part of the exchanger and at the maximum temperature. Allowing the transfer of an higher amount of energy, thanks to controlled thermal drops, the cold fluid returns to the solar collectors and improves the efficiency because of the decreasing of thermal losses (average in/out temperature is lower on the collectors). SPEED PUMP CONTROL Decreasing the speed pump on the secondary circuit according to the variation of energy on the solar collectors (in the morning, in the evening, during Winter season) the production of warm water and the decreasing of the stratification in the buffer tank are avoided. It is possible to use the accumulated energy since the first rays of light and in the highest part of the buffer tank. SAVINGS In low-flow operating of the solar circuit it is possible to use:
• Back pipings with a smaller section with saving on materials requirement; • Smaller circulators consequently decreasing the electrical consumption; further savings are obtained thanks to the speed modulation.

This licenced system always offers to the users the maximum amount of heat available, by means of an internal stratification to the stainless steel buffer tank.
When the sunlight is very low, the buffer tank is cold and the Thermosyphon system is not working because of the lack of energy.

When the solar radiation is sufficient, the Thermosyphon system is activated and the fluid gives heat to the buffer tank, so that a general heating of the system is achived. Water in the buffer tank is completely hot and ready for use. When the maximum temperature set point on the three ways thermostatic valve is reached , there is the by-pass of the whole system in order to avoid thermal discharges (waste of water).

Fresh Water is the new buffer tank for the production of domestic hot water, combined with thermal solar systems. The buffer tank is ready for use, pre-mounted and cabled during the manufacturing operation. It is composed of: • mono coil buffer tank ideal for the storage of water used for heating, completed with junctions for the connection to the solar collectors, boiler or heat pump, heating integration, DHW production, electrical resistance; the inner wall is raugh, while the external one is coated with anti-rough, thermal insulation with soft polyurethane and ABS finishing; • 3 bar safety valve for buffer tank, equipped with 0-4 bar manometer and connection for expansion tank; • Solar circulation station equipped with circulating pump ST 15/6 ECO, 6 bar safety valve with connection for the expansion tank, flow rate regulator 2-12 l/min and connections for the filling of the system, thermometer with blue ring and nonreturn valve (non-return valve can be excluded by rotating the lever 45°); • instantaneous DHW production system (Fresh Water) with plate exchanger AISI 316, Vortex sensor 2-40 l/min for the instantaneous mesurement of temperature and DHW flow rate, modulation of the circulator speed based on flow and temperature requirement, controlled thermal drops for a great management of the stratification in the buffer tank, in accordance with the solar source. instantaneous DHW Different from traditional vitrified double coil buffer tanks, this one allows flexibility and multiple system solutions with low costs. You can find here below some examples of the big advantages of this buffer tank compared to traditional systems of DHW production: a) possibility of heating integration; b) possibility of using solar energy in case of low consumption of DHW, in particular for houses where the use is intermittent or occasional; c) more resistance to stored water action, because using only technical water as energy accumulator it is not aggressive on the buffer tank walls. Buffer tank has a 10 years warranty against manufacturing faults; d) no limestone problems, that avoid also risks regarding reduction of the thermal exchange power of the coils; e) possibility of direct connection to the heat pump without limitations related to surface area and exchange power; f) instantaneous DHW production system avoids bacteria proliferation in the stored water; furthermore the system of solar thermal drops allows a correct management of the stratification in the buffer tank, related to the solar source. Solar system starting When the temperature of the solar collector (and then the temperature of the fluid in its inside) is higher than the one of the buffer tank the solar circulator that tranfers the energy from the collector to the buffer tank is activated. Once charged, the buffer tank stops the solar circulator but the system remains always ready for an eventual re-starting in case of DHW consumptions or in case that energy was used for heating purpose.

Up to 40 m2 of solar collectors can be connected to this station, both for domestic hot water production and for systems with heating integration. During the normal operation, the systems remains in pressure, draining itself only when necessary (high temperatures, frost, missing using, etc…). The double-pump system allows the filling of the system with more than 30 m prevalence, once the system is filled the circulation is obtained with a simple circulator with low electric consumptions.
The filling, activation and the draining phases of the solar system are obtained with a procedure that is the same of EASY TEKNO DRY system. In order to allow the perfect draining of pipes, solar collectors must always be installed with a minimum tilt angle, without siphons.

FAST Preparation unitS FOR Domestic HOT WATER Fast preparation units are the ideal solution for production and storage of hot water in all the situations when great performances both for the flow rate and for the speed are requested. Its using is recommended for hospitals, communities, residence, camping sites, hotels, restaurants, sport centre.
Fast preparation units are equipped with: • nr. 01 buffer tank BVV series vitrified in accordance with DIN 4753, without coils, max operating pressure 6 bar, externally insulated with hard polyurithane covering, complete of anti-corrosion anode. (complete description in the following page)

ADVANTEGES OF THE EXTERNAL HEAT EXCHANGER WITH FLOW RATE REGULATION Heat pumps air/ water: - operate with a low thermal drop (around 5°C) and need to have surfaces for the exchange that traditional coils internal to buffer tanks for DHW production do not have;

- have a potential that changes according to the external temperatures. In order to obtain a great DHW production, Tekno Energy has created an external heat exchanger to satisfy the requirement of the related exchange surfaces.
With speed control the DHW produced is in temperature
In mixed systems, with solar/ heat pump buffer tanks, a flow rate regulator is combined with the circulator with an electronic controller that, in accordance with the power supplied by the heat pump, regulates the DHW production. Thanks to the electronic management, the potential of the heat pump is completely used and DHW is always produced at the same temperature, avoiding the cooling of the stored DHW during transition phases. The controller can be programmed following the operation of the heat pump, defining the temperature and regulating the minimum/ maximum speed of the circulator in accordance with COP and in the extreme operation conditions. A correct flow rate can be read directly on board of the buffer tank with a flow meter. The whole system exchanger/ circulator/ electronic controller is pre-mounted and cabled on board of the buffer tank.

FRESH WATER STATION (instantaneous DHW prepares) Fresh Water Station guarantees instantaneous production of domestic hot water, avoiding the phenomenon of pollution by bacteria, such as Legionella etc… due to stagnation of hot water. This system manages the speed of the primary circulator, from a minimum of 12% to the maximum speed selected, in order to guarantee in every moment a precise using temperature (ex. 45°C). The modification of flow rate requirement is instantaneously read from a digital sensor that provides to the electronic the information about flow rate and temperature, changing consequently the speed of the circulator. The model, with changeable flow rate from 2 to 40 l/min, can be used for house systems up to small communities.

large-sized systems FRESH WATER STATION
(instantaneous DHW preparation) Assures the instantaneous domestic hot water production, avoiding bacterial pollution phenomenons, such as Legionella etc, due to the stagnation of hot water. The device manages, by means of a special elecronics, the speed of the primary pump with low energy consumption and at variable turns, in order to guarantee in every moment a precise using temperature (ex. 45° C) with very quick reaction times. Variance of required flow rate is instantaneously read by means of a digital sensor the gives to the electronic flow rate and temperature information, consequently moduling the speed of the circulator, the model with variable flow rate from 0 to 200 l/min can be used for systems of apartments, hotels, hospitals. With the following features: • Temperature of hot water produced 45°C with net temperature 10°C: the power is around 405 W to the maximum flow rate of 200 l/min. DHW temperature can be regulated at each °C up to 55°C.

• Minimum input temperature required on the exchanger is 60°C, in order to guarantee the declared efficiency at maximum flow rate. • An inspection plate exchanger with a big surface guarantees an important thermal exchange that allows the return of water to the buffer tank at a temperature up to 20°C. The heat pump consists of a closed circuit composed of a compressor, a condenser, a lamination valve and an evaporator through which flows a cool liquid. The thermodynamic cycle of the fluid consists of an adiabatic compression, a condensation phase, an expansion phase and an evaporation phase. During the compression phase the fluid increases its pressure and its temperature, in the second phase flows through a heat exchanger (condenser) in order to supply thermal energy to DHW. In the third phase the fluid flows through an expansion valve (lamination process) with a consequent reduction of pressure and temperature. In the last phase, the evaporation phase, the changing phase from liquid to steam is used: the cool evaporates low temperatures, absorbing heat from the external fluid. Thus, during operation of the heat pump we observe: electricity consumption by the compressor, an heat absorption from the outside (evaporator) and a supply of heat in the condenser to the liquid to be heated. The advantage of the heat pump is that it provides more energy as heat than electricity needed for its operation. 67

When water temperature in the storage tank is high enough, water can be withdrawned just like in normal plants. Even in an high-temperature heating system, genius buffer tank can be used as storage tank for cold water in the pipes, replacing it with hot water heated by solar collectors.
When the withdrawal of energy from the tank is over (return water temperature is higher than water in the tank), or when it is not present due to bad weather conditions, the 3-way valve bypasses the tank. In this way, unnecessary stored water heatings by the boiler are avoided and a considerable energy saving is achieved because of useless thermal losses avoided. This system allows to use solar energy in a more efficient way.

The insulation is made of closed cells of cross-linked expanded polyethylene with spread PVC external coating supported by polyester, with an overall thickn of 20mm; it completely covers the buffer tank to prevent moisture. Solar pipes systems
Inox split - AISI316 Appropriate for solar systems with corrugated pipe in stainless steel AISI 316 and protecting material for more demanding applications. The system is composed of separable double corrugated pipe in stainless steel, sensor cable, flexible insulating material in EPDM, the whole assembled with metallic material and polyester, resistant to ozone and UV rays. The insulator is in soft EPDM, flexible, with synthetic rubber, without CFC and PVC; it resists to the high continuous temperatures that reach the 125°C and, with limited duration, also the 175°C. The corrugated pipe in stainless steel has a temperature range included between -270°C and +600°C, with maximum pressure at 200°C of 13,5 bars. For a maximum facility of installation they are complete of mark in order to avoid the exchange between intake and delivery conductors. The sensor cable is composed of 0,75 mm2 conductors. In general, multilayer and galvanized steel pipes are not suitable for solar systems.

Composed of body, head, bulb probe and probe-housing Automatic thermostatic diverter valve, ideal for the controll of integration in the solar systems. Adjustable from 60 to 90° C. PN 10. The valve works without electric power supply. Through the bulb, the temperature of the domestic hot water is detected; the valve automatically turns aside the flow with the reaching of an adjustable temperature on the metal ring; in this way high temperature in the buffer tank is avoided. With the return of the temperature under the degree set up in the buffer tank, the bulb transmits the same temperature to the valve that reopens the flow towards the buffer tank and reactivates the natural circulation.

The system is composed of a white tank in PVC with 50 L capacity with wide aperture for the easy loading of the mixture water-glycol, mounted on a cart complete of pump with electric switch; it is connected, through a non-return valve, to a flexible pipe in rubber with suitable connection for our solar station, the whole insulated by two valves, in order not to have losses and dispersion of any kind. For the correct mixing in the desired percentage, to use of the appropriate graded tape supplied on the tank.

For all the controversies referred to this contract contracted, the exclusive Jurisdiction competent is the Court of Saluzzo (Cn). GUARANTEE OF THE PRODUCT The company TeknoEnergy, through the constructor, guarantees the goods as from the guarantee certificate attached to the products sell. The guarantee comprises the substitution or repair of the goods in our headquarters with charges of transport, dismantling and remounting at the expense of the purchaser. Tekno Energy it is not obliged to indemnify the purchaser for direct or indirect damages or lacked production or for any cause and nature as the guarantee regards and is limited to the substitution and repair in our headquarters of the defective parts TeknoEnergy does not assume responsibility for problems caused from wrong assembly. The vitrified flat solar collectors PS series with absorber in copper are guaranteed for defeats of production for 10 years from the date of production. The vitrified flat solar collectors PSA series with absorber in aluminium are guaranteed for defeats of production for 5 years from the date of production. The evacuated tube collectors are guaranteed for 5 years (pipes in borosilicate glass excluded). All the solar collectors for sanitary hot water and heating are guaranteed for 5 years. The guarantee of 2 years is related to all the accessories, electrical elements, circulators, electronic controllers, valves. Are excluded by the guarantee: 1. accidental breaks due to the transport, 2. not correct use, 3. neglect, 4. installation not in compliance with the assembly norms or/and instructions of installation, 5. lack or error of fixing to the wall structure of the building, 6. damages caused from bad weather conditions, such as lightning or hail, 7. broke due to freezing conditions, when the antifreeze is not present; 8. broke due to high pressures, 9. broke due to high pressures in cases when, in the circuit are present interception valves to the collectors, to the expansion tanks, to the security valve 10. particularly corrosive water 11. In case when the magnesium anode is particularly consumed...anyway when there are operating condition different from those necessary for the normal function of the system or not in accordance with the installation manual. 12. In case of installation of the solar collectors in particular climatic zones, different from the temperate one is not requested a written permission to TeknoEnergy, in order to verify that the European certification EN 12975 is appropriate for the zone. CONDENSATION: may be normal signs of humidity inside the solar collector in the form of condensation during the winter season due to rain and humidity in the air. It is recommended, in such cases, to wait for sunny periods so that it is automatically ejected through the holes for ventilation. Furthermore, our company recommends periodic monitoring to the systems for any type of maintenance only refer to qualified installers. In the case of direct intervention by our company, due to mounting problems, or those not resolved by the installer, there will always be paid the right of call + transfer.
